I sincerely have no idea how Movie Vertigo managed to do this; let alone the dynamic mode switching! It's truly amazing and a delight to see. I hereby declare Movie Vertigo ultimate expert.

Apologies for the recent silence. My hobby suddenly took a turn to a more serious commercial effort. I'll say more whenever I can.

"The most impressive off-the-shelf eZ80 machine we've seen is the Byte Attic Agon series. These are available off-the-shelf in several versions, such as the €50 (£43, $53) AgonLight2 from Olimex, and there's copious info on its own wiki."

@techokami has now been around long enough that just about anything you might want has already been done by someone somewhere, including the wedge-shaped case with built-in keyboard. Below is one of several examples. You can ask in the Facebook group for more options. 🙂 https://www.printables.com/model/705534-agonlight2-retro-case

@techokami Should I print one for you and send it to you for free with a supplicant apology for not serving all your needs exactly in the way you want, your highness?

A complete /// has arrived. The condition of the electronics is unknown, as it has sat in an attic for over 3 decades. It should be interesting, when I get to it...

So, and its brother, the , are being promoted in a magazine as test equipment for embedded applications! It's cool to see how people find unforeseen uses for well-designed hardware. Very gratifying. Full read here, starting at page 36:

And it's done: first-time right, no bodges, no mods. is here! Only missing the transparent plexiglass case now. It will take only a couple of days for that. See clip below for a summary of what this is.
This has attracted attention, so I don't know if or when it will be released as open-source hardware, despite the logo on the board. Apologies for that. Sometimes there is a sound rationale for a different approach.

@mrplado Yes, series of individual LEDs. The choice for a 2-signal-layer board (there are 4 layers in total, including 2 planes) is to make all nets visible on the board itself, and facilitate possible bodges if it doesn't work out of the box.

Here's CERBERUS 2100™ rendering Bad Apple, in a port by Movie Vertigo. Notice the fluidity and more-than-decent frame rate. Importantly, there is no pre-loading here! The CPU loads each frame into video memory in real time. Try that in any other 8-bitter!

The hand-made production line of courtesy units is operating at full power. One more to go. The @olimex custom case is fantastic! This is the only classic-like 8-bitter you will ever need, with a , a , a DMA-based expansion slot, and two BASIC interpreters!
