You may delude yourself into thinking you have to prop up Biden now instead of demanding an end to this genocide, because “Trump would be worse!!!”, but you will always be complicit in these crimes. You will have chosen your comfort over the lives of tens of thousands of innocent civillians brutally murdered and millions more brutally occupied, beaten, sexually assaulted and starved.

If you don’t make it clear that your vote depends on the end of this genocide, apply pressure, demand this from your representatives and take to the streets, you will be complicit when voting Biden in November.

Weird just a few days earlier they said Spain should look to the time of Muslim rule in southern Spain for atrocities against Jews. Which there weren’t Jewish people and culture prospered under the Muslim rule and then got pogromed when the Christians took back over. Now they refer to exactly that.

Your math is poor a.f. And your argumentation doesn’t hold. The inflation rate is the relative change over a defined time-period. It is not a derivate. And a 10% interest rate p.a. corresponds to a .026 % interest rate per day. But that is still not the derivate. If we look at hours we are at a rate of .00109 %. And that is still not a derivate.

So @originalucifer is absolutely right also for interest rates. If you look at arbitrarily small timeframes it will always become a very small number.

The interest rate is commonly given p.a. so per year. So if you take a shorter time it becomes arbitrarily small. But to take acceleration as an example. If you have an acceleration of 1 m/s² it is a derivate. But if you take it as the acceleration over a year you get 31,536,000 m/year² which is also technically a derivate, but a completely nonsensical expression.

Proportionality is simply not dependent on the question of who “started first” and you will always find something that is credibly or uncredibly put forth as “the beginning”. This is why Israel tries to claim it all started on Oct. 7. This is why Germany argued Poland started arming and preparing for war first. This one is even technically true, but ignores the context of Germany already announcing its Lebensraum ideology back then.

That is the problem. There is a both a larger context and a direct context to the question of proportionality, where there is no plus points for being “just retaliating”. Retaliation can be a legitimate goal, but only in the context of deterring from further attacks, like Iran did after the embassy attack.

Währenddessen erzählt Habeck zum Tag des Grundgesetzes, dass Deutschland eine total tolle Demokratie sei. Der Staat würde niemanden unterdrücken und diskriminieren und Opfern von sowas konsequent helfen. Die Ampel ist eine rechte (Grüne, SPD) und in Teilen rechtsextreme (FDP) Regierung und die Normalisierungen offen zur Schau gestellten Hasses gegen alles was “undeutsch” zu sein scheint wird von dieser Regierung mit vorangetrieben.

By voting Biden you declare your support of his policies. That is the fundamental way of how democracies work. You vote your representative because you think he is representing you.

By attacking anyone who says you shouldn’t approve of genocide as your representation you abolish your representative from his responsibility of not supporting genocide and instead blame it on the people who think that genocide is never an acceptable representation for them.

For you individually as a citizen there is only one legal way to hold a politician responsible. And that is by denying them further support in the next election. Now if it comes to group action through demonstrations, unions, lobbying etc. that is great and even better to do. But if it is down to you and the ballot the only direct thing is to declare before what your political demands are and vote accordingly. If your demand is “genocide is okay” then you will have to make that up with your consciousness, the victims and survivors and eventually towards future generations.

It gets even more absurd. The southern states blocked building large power lines to transport cheap wind energy south. Now they struggle because the chea renewable energy cannot go there. So while there is plenty of renewables in the north the south still runs coal plants to provide local energy. But then the people in the north have to pay for “network fees” because the South couldnt take their energy.

Because of this it was suggested to split the German energy market in two, where the south which fought against renewables would have to pay the actual electricity costs instead of leeching of the North that properly build up renewables. This was fought teeth and nails because the South of Germany is like Texas but with an even worse superiority complex.
