@isotopp Das ist eines der Probleme des Wahlomaten: Er nimmt die Antworten der Parteien/Parteiprogramme für "bare Münze". Also ob das Versprochene auch umgesetzt werden würde.
Ich halte daher die "Automaten" besser, die vergangene (namentliche) Parlamentsabstimmungen nehmen und dann die eigenen Meinungen dazu auf Übereinstimmung mit den realen Abstimmungen abklopfen.
Statt den Online-Verkauf internationaler Fahrkarten endlich mal umzusetzen, baut DB Vertrieb mit Verimi lieber kundenfeindliche Überwachung ein, die keinerlei Mehrwert bietet 💩
@fluepke Ich halte das DE-Lastschrift-Verfahren derzeit leider überhaupt ungeeignet. In FR mit den RIB ist das sinnvoller.
Verein hat derzeit mehre Anzeigen gegen unbekannt, weil immer wieder Leute das Vereinskonto benutzt hatten, um unberechtigt Deutschlandtickets zu buchen. Die Sparkasse weigert sich, LS für die DB oder meinetwegen auch komplett zu sperren (Dann könnte man das öffentliche Konto für Beiträge und Spenden für LS sperren + noch ein internes für unsere Verträge.) #hackspace
PSA: many USB UART adapter boards and cables tend to fail because they're literally just an FT2232 (legit or clone) or CH340 chip under the hood with the pins broken out to a header. this is true of the cheap AliExpress ones and most branded options too.
they have almost no protection against ESD, overcurrent (e.g. TX short to GND), overvoltage, or ground loop issues. they're non-isolated so ground voltage deltas can mess them up too.
look for an isolated model for higher reliability:
@gsuberland my issue with CH340 and FT2232 is less the lack of ESD protection on most devices, but the bad tolerance of level shifts/lack of load driving and/or missing pull up on inputs. resulting lost characters or even totally garbled results.
my experience with CP2102 based adapters has been better during the last decade. (yes, they are not as cheap as most CH340, PL2303 and FTs)
For the last few years I have been really annoyed with companies that advertise so called "Gaming routers". None of them are ever capable of running any games!
So @manawyrm and I built what I consider to be the first real gaming router.
It is based on a classic, the TP-Link TL-WDR4900 WLAN router with an AMD Radeon external GPU connected via PCIe and can run GTA.
Ich habe einen Entstörfilter für 3,5-mm-Klinken-Audio gekauft, gegen Massebrummen über die USB-Stromversorgung. Ein kleines schwarzes Kästchen, etwa so groß wie eine AA-Batterie. Funktioniert prima, ist aber außer dem Markennamen komplett unbeschriftet.
Damit ich auch in 3 Jahren noch weiß, was es tut, bin ich stark am überlegen, ihm mit dem Labeldrucker das hier zu verpassen …
there's a saying in electronics that there are two types of PCB designers: people who make antennas on purpose and people who make antennas by accident.
and having looked at a bunch of designs made by big companies recently, I think more PCB designers should go be antenna designers instead, because they've clearly got some innate skill at it which is currently untapped.
@gsuberland there is an old saying among electronics engineers (in german), "everything oscillates, except for the oscillator" ("Alles schwingt, nur der Oszillator nicht.")
btw if you need competitive antennas on your PCB today it does not come cheap in terms of knowledge required AND compute resources to be allocated. either you outsource it for 50k, wait a long time and have to trust the results. Or have a person dedicated since +10 years and expensive software + compute stack.
Today in Germany's "make people turn off cell broadcast" speedrun: They just pushed an "extreme" severity cell broadcast alert to what looks like about one quarter of the country because of... a chance of black ice. Seriously, they couldn't do a worse job at managing this infrastructure if they tried. Since its introduction about a year ago, including this one I have gotten three "extreme" severity alerts, and all three were bogus. This is how you make people disable this in their phones.
@jaseg i just deinstalled "Katwarn", because i do not need an app that alerts me with "severe gravity" when there will be snow tomorrow... in January... where +10cm fresh snow would considered pretty normal during this time of the year any day.
Forgot to share this, it was a Christmas gift from a friend, it's an Atari floppy drive, I have been looking for one for years, more than 15 years or so lol, these are kinda rare here because of the original price, most people just used tape drives

Ohne nachzuschlagen: Wer von euch weiß, was (nicht direkt "wer", sondern was) gemeint ist, wenn jemand "Wowereit." schreibt? (Oder sagt.) Also, als aus einem Wort bestehender, in sich abgeschlossener Satz, in einer Unterhaltung oder in einem Artikel oder sowas.
Zum Beispiel: "Die Kommentarfunktion ist deaktiviert. Wowereit."
Um's vielleicht nochmal etwas klarer zu formulieren: Dieses "Wowereit." kann man durch was anderes ersetzen. Weißt du, durch was?

Ich will eigentlich nicht, daß meine Reise zu einem Erlebnis wird, sondern so langweilig und unaufwendig wie irgend machbar pünktlich genau da ankommen, wo ich es geplant habe.
Wenn ich ein Erlebnis will, geh ich auf die Kirmes.
@MissInformation Respekt an die Unbekannten Turnschuhe! Bei mir zerlegen die sich, wenn ich das zweimal im Jahr tue, mit statisch hohem Prozentsatz, trotz doppeltem Wäschesack drumherum und Beladung.
Vielleicht sollte ich doch einfach Markenware kaufen?
