in a curious way, reddit's new api charging model has improved reddit. and most curiously, it has sent the improvements into the past.

that is to say: up until a month ago, any mention of reddit on my timeline was about what a dying shithole it still was. but now, apparently, it's an internet treasure suddenly being consumed by a capitalist land grab.

yesterday morning i was getting excited about making a little compofiller for Nova. yesterday evening i was angry and sulking because i felt so tired. i've had to realise that this is a sign of exhaustion, and i'm dropping all my plans to do prods for a specific deadline. i'm going to find smaller creative things to do to entertain myself.

i feel sad that i'm not going to make anything for the great uk party, but you can't fight exhaustion by getting more exhausted.

Ducking past the security guards, ramming the thin door, I burst into the Grand Prix commentary booth. The red light is on. I grab the microphone and stare into the gloss black disc of the camera lens. Around the world, F1 fans stare back at me from their sofas uncertainly. I have seconds to give my message.

"Grand..." I say. The director is making frantic "cut" actions with his hands as I enunciate the "A" and the "D," but he is too late.

"...pricks." I finish, smirking. The cameraman faints.
