baru,

Truth Social is just a way to get money to Trump. Scam/money laundering/bribing. With max a few million/year in revenue I wouldn’t compare it to actual social media apps.

baru,

So tired of the same arguments. They don’t mean anything in the real world

The second sentence is a fallacy.

And it does matter that the company is calling it full self driving while it doesn’t fully self drive. That it would have that capability is something Musk has promised for many years. It’s also a reason that Tesla stock is worth so much.

Go ahead in a court of law and claim you are not responsible for an accident

That’s would be a very specific case. Tesla has been reminded multiple times that they need to take into account how people use their vehicles. The company is also under investigation for possible fraud because they are selling something that doesn’t do what people would respect it to do.

You’re focusing on one thing, but there’s multiple ways that the company could be liable. There’s been multiple articles explaining that the company is either under investigation or that the company has been warned to change things or else.

baru,

At the same time, there’s too many people who say that Full Self Driving obviously doesn’t mean that the vehicle still fully drive itself. Though for unknown reasons it is totally fine to keep using the name Full Self Driving.

baru,

“both parties are sometimes the same”

The usual claim isn’t that. What people object to is claiming that both parties are the same.

baru,

I’m not a lawyer, but wouldn’t pretty much every jurisdiction consider you properly served if […]

Meidas Touch on YouTube discussed if it was needed to serve him. I forgot a bit what they said, but recall that they were doing more than what was needed. Plus there were also more aggressive options that were possible.

Anyway, Giuliani has continuously been trying to not do anything. His behaviour is consistent, but also weird. A judge used his behaviour to dismiss a complaint or something. He’s not helping himself. I wonder why he behaves in ways that seemingly completely destroy his financials.

baru,

I also don’t see why any content generated by an LLM could or should be illegal.

Cannot see how it could be illegal? If it does something against a law it’ll be illegal. Just because there’s some technology involved doesn’t absolve that from laws.

I remember a case where someone complained about the incorrect statement an LLM produced about some public figure. The judge ruled it had to be corrected.

baru,

But I do notice you on every trump post insisting people are screaming both sides

Another common tactic/fallacy is exaggerating the claim. Example: saying something “screams” about “both sides”. The bit about screaming is unneeded and is just added to make it easy to argue against it.

and others taking legitimate criticism of biden as people screaming both sides

That’s not the same and not what is meant as “both sides”. And again, people aren’t screaming. I’d maybe take your comment more seriously if it didn’t ignore things while adding a fallacy to discuss a common fallacy.

baru,

Some people go out of their way to not understand or not see something.

baru, (edited )

no one is voting Biden

Aside from the loads of people voting for him.

Loads of people are repeatedly saying that Biden oud somehow not something to vote for. While Trump would be a good candidate? Your argument just doesn’t make sense. There is a huge difference between these two.

Edit: further reflection, people easily forget history. But Biden won against Trump. Though less relevant now due to right wing media distorting things. People seem to have forgotten what Trump is like as president.

baru,

genocide Joe

That’s a tired claim as well. Ignored that after he blocked some support that the Republicans went out of their way to ensure that support is sent anyways? It’s not on Biden. That said, I don’t agree with the support.

baru,

Ah, the incorrect claim regarding “Both Sides”

baru,

No he doesn’t, lol, he only helps people if they are continually useful to him

Not exactly true. He did various one-off favours in the past . I think you’re too negative about Trump. See for instance an article to explain that Trump is rumoured to have helped various people as a one-off thing: forbes.com/…/giuliani-spoke-about-selling-pardons…

Anyway, for anyone too lazy to look at that link. The article is about Trump helping people by giving out pardons, just needed a one-off 2 million usd gift. There wasn’t a need to be useful to Trump after that. Yes, my entire reply is a sarcastic one.

Zelensky: 'Our partners fear that Russia will lose this war' (kyivindependent.com)

President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Ukraine’s partners “are afraid of Russia losing the war” and would like Kyiv “to win in such a way that Russia does not lose,” Zelensky said in a meeting with journalists attended by the Kyiv Independent....

baru,

We all know that’s not going to happen.

Russia will not leave on its own no.

It’s time to do something about it.

The first commenter repeated Russian bs about giving land. This while I’m the past Russia already took land, then greatly expanded and were attacking all of Ukraine.

So wondering if you’re trying to repeat Russian bs or intend that Ukraine should get enough to get rid of Russia.

baru,

Russia performed genocide in those regions. There’s no possibility of referendums. Things have have been changed, forcefully by Russia.

baru,

Like I said, that’s literally how a child sees the world.

Insulting people and implying people do not think things through. While most of your replies consist of giving insults. With some weird suggestion that free can only mean the amount of people in prison.

Egg on your face, no?

baru,

If you’re going to sex shame them

Where did the person that you respond to do this? You’ve claimed this in a few comments, but people aren’t doing what your think is being done.

baru,

That wasn’t said. Pretending a crazy summary was said is a common fallacy.

baru,

Australia fixed their gun problem. You’re pretending it cannot be solved despite loads of countries have a pretty good grasp of it.

baru,

Republicans blocked it. There’s no “both sides” to this.

baru,

I though the use case was that these reactors can be mass produced in a factory and not require large scale infrastructure projects?

The mass production takes time to build up. It takes time to get experience. I’ve read various articles around SMRs. For at least the first 9 there will not be any mass production. It’ll be very costly.

Usually production improves as more is produced. Possibly it improves by the experience gained, possibly by a new factory.

It’ll not be immediately cheap and mass produced. While that is often claimed for SMRs.

As small ones aren’t as efficient, it’ll be more costly per kWh. That it’ll be cheaper than regular nuclear power seems mostly wishful thinking.

baru,

My first issue with this, is that he’s still using his information from 2013.

That’s actually a thing against nuclear power. For decades it’s the best thing. But often drawbacks are only solved in a new design that isn’t in a lot of nuclear power stations. And if they’re actually build then the cost overrun by a factor of 2 and more.

It’s always the next iteration that’ll solve things. It seems to be like a costly way to produce power if it’ll be built. Existing ones can be cheap, but then there are often several technical versions out of date.

baru,

The sun doesn’t always shine, and the wind doesn’t always blow.

Which is why you connect countries together. Combined with having more than enough capacity. And battery storage.

All of that is still significantly cheaper than nuclear. Plus it can be built way faster.

Nuclear is expensive and takes ages. And that’s just the budget, it’ll easily go crazy over budget and be a decade late.

baru,

And wind turbines and small scale hydroplants are not nearly as effective

You can easily see how much energy those wind turbines produce. I haven’t seen your claim made in many years. It simply isn’t true. Just check the production of the various wind farms.

baru,

I guess it is helped that nobody will call out their lies (and lives).
