not OP, but I have to run fronted and backend of a project in docker simultaneously (multiple postgres and redis dbs, queues, search index, etc., plus two webservers), plus a few browser tabs and two VSCode instances open, regularly pushes my machine over 15gb ram usage
I’ve had to swap Firefox on my laptop for the deb package, the snap took like 5sec to open, whereas the deb opens instantly. Other than that, i don’t see much of a difference, but i run into sandboxing issues quite often (same with flatpak though)
It doesn’t make sense to take a pill that neuters you, and then go and take another pill to counter the effect. It’s like if you’re obese and have high blood pressure, and instead of exercising you take pills against it - you’re only fighting symptoms, not the root cause
I haven’t been able to update my cellphone anonymously with Aurora since January. Every time I try, Aurora errors out with “Oops, you are rate limited”....
I just switched to a degoogled phone and Aurora recently, and it worked fine installing 30+ apps. When you get an error, try logging out of Aurora and start a new session, maybe the current Aurora proxy your phone is using is down
I wouldn’t mind foldable phones having two separate screens with a minor gap between them - you’d avoid getting an ugly growing crease over time like with the current screens, and with a proper hinge design you could make them thinner too probably
I was thinking about phones, having a “flip phone” without a crease which is “normal size” when opened would be cool. For tablet use the gap admittedly sucks
