boredsquirrel, 11 days ago to linux in List of useful BTRFS tools Really interesting project. Yes I also thought it would be focused on non-BTRFS, especially as Mint doesnt use BTRFS either, right?

Which is simply stupid. Same goes for FlagFox, Internet Archive addon, TOS;DR and other addons.

boredsquirrel, 11 days ago to linux in Gaming vs Regular Distros What tests? Lightweight has many many things that might decrease performance, for example bad multithreading bad available RAM utilization general under-supported and thus not supporting the latest stuff (like vsync) not supported by Valve, which is likely a big thing But for sure having less bloat helps, but that is constant, while optimization helps relatively to the load. Light sway might have a smaller constant footprint, kwin a bigger one. But kwin might scale better. The software you run is often waaay bigger than the Desktop etc.

boredsquirrel, 11 days ago to firefox in Is it possible to disable/remove the speech-to-text button on Android in the address bar? I use Florisboard myself, for its action bar and the priceless clipboard menu (also very secure as it is not shared with the system clipboard). But Heliboard and Futo Keyboard have autocorrect, and Futo keyboard also voice input, really cool.

boredsquirrel, 11 days ago to firefox in Is it possible to disable/remove the speech-to-text button on Android in the address bar? You dont need Futo voice, Futo keyboard has a worse UI but allows to import the same models (the biggest one is the only one that has good results) externally. keyboard.futo.org/voice-input-models
