You might well be missing #OnlyConnect on Monday evenings - but let me tell you a little story about this picture that we used in the semi-finals that means the world to me.

For various reasons, we needed a particular Scrabble configuation, LETTERS played with the second T on the starting square.

Now, we could have mocked it up digitally, but we prefer physical photos where possible.

So, as picture researcher, I got my Scrabble board out, made it, took the photo and we used it on the show.

Right. I need some help remembering something specific.

2D Animated film. Prob ‘80s/‘90s.

Starts? With the narrator reading the night before Christmas “… was stirring not even a mouse” but then shows a mouse who is stirring a pot or something with a spoon or ladle etc.

The mouse might argue with the narrator or something like “ignore me and get on with the story”

I have a feeling the mouse might not be a main character of the film, just an aside for the intro?

It's the first day of #Scratchvent! Here's my advent calendar of 25 £1 scratchcards and a bonus £5 card for Dec 25. I'll be doing one per day and spreading out the inveitable disappointment over the entire month.

I have stats for the past six years. I've made my money back in just one year, but I've beaten the expected winnings (about 67% of cost) in four out of six years.

How will I fare this year? Let's get scratching...
