I recently tried to compile #CDE desktop env on #ArchLinux using #aur. I wanted to play with it out of nostalgia (we had CDE on some machines at university).

No dice, I always run into a compilation error somewhere half way through #makepkg 😩

Ok, question to folks that already had #COVID19: did you notice any changes in your dreams at night?
Since my infection my dreams have become very life-like, very intense. I tend to dream 2-3 unrelated story segments each night. I mostly remember what I dreamed after waking up. They are usually no nightmares, but neither „happy dreams“. More like a continuation of the real world…
This happened maybe 3-4 times a year before the infection.

Well, #Win98 on the #Geode board sucked.
Running #FreeDOS is no solution either (no packet driver for the RTL8110 and no sound).

This is why I now try to compile a bespoke #Linux using #BuildRoot https://buildroot.org/

I already booted into a first test image, now I'm going crazy with the packages to install and recompile 😊

I ported the plugins from #DosView to #DOjS, so the next release of #DOjS will contain #TIFF, Sun Raster and #Jpeg2000 loading/writing.

I also switched #JPEG libraries and #JPG saving will be possible, too.

I also added a more sophisticated way of detecting keypresses, so creating games with keyboard input will be easier.

Wow, Ibis #Leipzig just canceled our reservation for #WGT in May. Seems like both hotels are affected by heavy water damage. 😱
We were able to get another hotel in the city center, but ~100EUR more expensive. 🤬
Compared to >1000EUR for 4 days on Pentecost in other hotels it is still a bargain. 🥴

Ich wurde heute zwei mal vom selben Fahrradkurier so knapp ueberholt und geschnitten das ich bei meinem Rad voll auf die Bremse steigen musste. Waere ich 5cm weiter nach links, dann haetten wir beide auf der Fresse gelegen.
