European Policy Centre analysts say the general political climate and the upcoming European elections are, in part, responsible for the uptick in violence....
I could point out why, but I’d probably get banned
e: this is a dumb comment and I regret making it. What I was referring to was literally right in the opening of the article:
Eric Maurice, researcher at the European Policy Centre, said there are numerous factors behind the discontent.
‘‘It’s true that on the one hand, we can see in the election results a rise in the extremes, in the radical forces, on both the right and the left, with an increasingly uninhibited political language, in verbal violence, in ad hominem attacks in political debate too. And then a radicalisation, a polarisation of society and a difficulty in debating with political adversaries who often become enemies,’’ he said.
I read the title, made a bunch of assumptions and then posted my comment without reading the article.

I’m no expert but as far as I’ve understood it you need to generally have a very good understanding of the train you’re driving, equivalent to an actual engineering degree, because you’re the person who has to call central and tell them what’s wrong with your train when something happens and “It doesn’t go forward” isn’t useful.
Saw this comment on a local news post about the mayor’s state of the city address and the mayor mentioned some of the new public transportation initiatives including adding another line to the train, I was under the impression that Amtrak was a success until the rails became denationalized and corporate greed limited the...
As soon as people complain about the cost of public transportation, point out the cost of subsidized private car ownership. If they deflect or move the goalpost, ignore them. You can’t sway them and trying will only make you both look dumb.
It’s not even about performance; I just don’t play anything that can justify a discreet GPU and I’m imagining the idle power draw is gonna be significantly better on a CPU with an integrated GPU than a CPU+GPU.
I have personally voluntarily come out of welfare (where I live, you can live a comfortable life on welfare granted you are actually disabled and not just out of work) to do work as a service technician for the municipality because I want to improve where I live. I don’t get paid a dime extra for the 12 hours a week I put in but I’m happy to do it. People will work shitty jobs if they can find it meaningful. People will generally do what needs to be done if they can be allowed to do it.
