Cycling shenanigans today as a car came out of an underground car park downtown and turned into a fully protected cycle lane. It then shot up it and stopped on a corner continuing to be a blockage.

When I navigated around the car and peeked in as I went past, the driver looked utterly oblivious they’d done something so recklessly dangerous.

Oddly enough whenever I see this kind of mental behaviour, the car has Ontario license plates 🤔

@austin I was there a few months ago. Good, but a little bit of sticker shock. I hadn't went out for ramen since before the pandemic.

@austin Not sure. Everywhere is pushing $20 for a bowl of ramen around town it seems. I used to go to Kazu for no frills ramen, but they only serve it for lunch and do not have lunch hours anymore 🤪 My default for hot noodle comfort food is pho or dandan noodles.

I have serious issues with YouTube comments: they are used to spread so much misinformation and lies.

For example, for my latest video, many people have said that I am lying about emergency vehicles being able to go through the knip. Even though I literally SHOW FOOTAGE of emergency vehicles going through the knip.

This is a common lie being told about the project online.

But here's the problem ... 🧵

@notjustbikes Perhaps driving (pun intended) comments to Patreon and here on Mastodon (?) could be a solution? Yes, it could be driving all of the unsavoury elements here, but at least here we have a moderation infrastructure in place.
