At the park today I saw another girl sitting having a snack and drink while reading on her own. But she didn't have any earbuds or headphones. And there were TWO DUELING ICE CREAM TRUCKS driving around the park. How was she coping??? 🫡
also she was sitting in the middle of the park, whereas I went way deep into the ornamental garden and sat behind a flower bed with bushes at my back so i could see the enemy coming 😶🌫️
@MsHearthWitch yeah! I think that's why I have been angry. Because he caused a harmful situation in which I had to become this way, with no choice. 🤷🏻♀️
@snaptophobic ohh thank you! i never dive into preview. this might work. it's missing the ability to set style defaults for all the tools, at first glance. 🤔 i'll keep playing with it
I am absolutely savoring the last few cold weather days. Opening all the windows to make it as cold as possible inside, putting on my comfy sweatshirt and leggings, making hot tea. I don't want it to end 😭
@MsHearthWitch SAME! omg have we talked about this before? it is hard to get any sympathy about hating summer. My body cannot regulate my temperature in summer. I was born this way. It is not a choice! I have been trying to think of ideas this year for what I could wear that would prevent skin from touching skin (which i have identified as the ultimate uncomfy, and when sweat happens). The best I can come up with is wearing tights to add a breathable barrier between skin. Not a great plan lol
@MsHearthWitch i am definitely going to try using antiperspirant on other places besides underarms this year. Lume didn't work for me, it's like it made different bacteria grow instead, i was sad. I do use a natural deodorant that DOES work and it stays active for like days. Best one i've tried! Idk if it's just this special situation with my specific chemistry or what. I can share it if you want but you seem pretty good to go with lume!
@MsHearthWitch i am always trying to find better clothes for summer. i bought some linen pants, crossing my fingers i dont hate them. so far it seems like i cant have any fabric on my legs or it's too hot. i did find one specific brand of bralette i love but they don't last long before the elastic goes. i need to find other brands to try. and for tops i have to do tank tops. do those come in linen? i better search!
I can tell when I need to lower the volume of something I'm listening to when I feel a kind of tightening in my ear muscles, and/or ringing in my ears, or a slight feeling of stress coming in from my environment.
I also just try to remember to always proactively lower the volume a couple ticks from what i first set it at, to prevent all those sensations.
What are the signs for you that things are a little too loud?
@pixel i wish i would have come across it haha! but i have a tiny bag of little people just for such opportunities. i tried to use corn starch to stick him on but that was rather pointless. he's just stuck on by gravity and friction basically. it was very difficult! i kept spooking the snail on accident and he would suck back into his shell
