Isn’t the “trajectory” that these systems are incredibly unsustainable both economically and environmentally? I’d hope that a machine that uses a few thousand homes’ worth of energy to answer a single query would be more useful than “can generate boilerplate code for me” or whatever.
Open Library (not activitypub compatible) is an ISBN database type service. But, it also has reading list/want to read/book review and rating features. So, my question is from a features standpoint and index standpoint (number of books indexed), which is better?
Mostly for the federated bits I assume. Being able to follow people’s bookwyrm accounts from your other socials is an interesting idea, though I don’t know how often it actually happens in practice. If that stuff doesn’t interest you then yeah just use OL directly ¯\(ツ)/¯

I randomly felt like trying all I could find and for now I’ll stay on Jerboa and the Web UI but I use Voyager too now, mainly for DMs...
