Earlier, I began reading "Mind Games" by Nora Roberts. It promises to be an excellent read.

@lynnskyi the Braille display. I’ve got has very soft keys if you will. They aren’t hard to push and there isn’t much of a click. I really don’t know what other term to use.

@lynnskyi I wasn’t allowed to use electronic anything. My hands hurt so bad by the end of every day because I was typing on that stupid clunky machine from 8 to 3.

@lynnskyi not to mention Braille books are hugely heavy and ridiculous. That’s why I generally don’t keep them. I’m surprised I don’t have back problems after the amount they made me carry around in school.

@lynnskyi hardcopy got ruined for me because it was forced on me. All the other kids got iPads, but according to what my idiot of an aid was constantly yelling at me over, I was too slow. Do you want me to be faster, actually teach me how to type. I had to teach myself that because they refused to do it.

@lynnskyi that approach works better for some people than for others. Most of the time I don’t mind, but being excluded just because they didn’t want to help me hit a nerve.

@lynnskyi that would explain why NLS doesn’t have it. I always go for straight audio before I bother with text to speech where fiction is concerned.

Do you know what really sucks? Having to use an old version of a piece of software just to be able to make it do what you want and not being able to buy a licensed key for that version so you have to use a demo. The problem with that is Mr. demo has to be reinstalled every two weeks.
