Too bad there’s no sweet spot in the TeamTalk universe between the all powerful admin and the regular human. It would be nice to have a couple of people on hand who can’t blow up the server, but can still kick out the troublemakers.

@FluidEscence I do need to find some extra Admins. I don’t remember who I had before because my account list kind of went down the toilet along with the rest of my old server.

@FluidEscence The guy literally vanished off the immediate planet after things blew up. It was literally so fast. I didn’t have time to get anything. I had been making accounts for people the day before, and then I went up to ban my stalker, who had slipped past me by changing his username to some thing, I wouldn’t recognize, only to find out there was no server to ban anybody from.

@FluidEscence @Jonathan859 even the guest account that gets opened up for parties and special events is password-protected. No password no enter.

@Jonathan859 @FluidEscence because special events are so far apart most of the time, the guest account gets deleted in between events, so the password is just about guaranteed to be different each time. If newbies want to come in in between those times, they know the person to contact to get a regular account.

@TSchulte I thought I had but apparently not. It looked like it was checked. Then again the last server management I did was with the classic client, so that tells you how long things have been blown up for.

@destructatron @ChrisDuffley my big concern is with people trying to upload files right now. I don’t know if I’m allowed to let them do that and I really don’t need this thing getting shut down in 48 hours.

@ChrisDuffley @TSchulte I trust anyone who has been at this longer than I have unless I don’t trust that person for other reasons. For example, I wouldn’t trust the person who broke through my computer and deleted all of my files through SSH session.

@TSchulte @ChrisDuffley that was not a fun experience. I had to restore from Internet recovery. Fortunately, I had a time machine back up. That is a large part of the reason I go ballistic if I don’t have a back up drive

@TSchulte @ChrisDuffley also known as find a couple of extra admins who actually know how not to blow up the server. Actually having a couple of extras wouldn’t hurt because I won’t be around 24 seven 365, especially when I’m out of town this fall.
