Does anybody know where I can get an affordable TeamTalk server for my own use? Mine kind of died like a lot of months ago and now I have no good spots to host movie night. I don’t want to have to sell a kidney to pay for it, but I am willing to pay a reasonable amount of money.

@WittiePenguin teamTalk has better audio quality, at least in my personal experience. Also, you’ve got more control over who gets in.

@Rich probably be better to let somebody who knows what they’re doing host it so it doesn’t get blown up on day one. That’s what I’ve been doing for a lot of years and then it just stopped working. I don’t even have a back up list of all my User accounts because it broke so suddenly

@sparksexist thanks a bunch. I’m sure people wouldn’t mind me borrowing spaces occasionally if I wanted to host an event, but I would rather have a place to do it on my own terms so I don’t have to worry about accidentally overlapping with someone else’s schedule.

@celrock I appreciate it. I had one of my own, but it blew up so suddenly I didn’t even have the chance to back up my User accounts. I took it account based in the first place because of the stalker.

@celrock my worst fear ever is that the stalker is going to show up somewhere. I need to be and cannot get away from them. I cannot count on my ability to stay civil in the face of that person and I do not want to get in trouble.

@GoemonIshikawa whatever bugs they introduce, can’t be worse than the one where voiceover just quits. I’ve never had talk back to that to me unless the speech engine crashes, and that has rarely been a problem, even then, because most of the speech engines you can get from the play store have this thing where they fall back on the Google one if they break.

@munchkinbear @celrock I know I’m going to watch the keynote just because I always watch the keynote and I would be really messed up in the head for the rest of the year if I skipped a routine event. I haven’t missed one since 2016.

@ratking if it had just been a private thing, I may not be as worried about it. It was directed at a jeopardy contestant because I got ahead of myself. I can’t cut it out of the episode without the whole thing sounding choppy.
