A Suitable Boy is such an amazing novel. It captures India and it’s complexities really well.

Embracer thinks that by buying studios, it could somehow magically make money. Embracer has no sense of the gaming market or who to sell what games? It has no sense about what projects to greenlight or not. It had already failed once, and it will fail again, most probably.

I played and completed both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City again since SS came out. Both games hold up so remarkably well, considering both are more than a decade old. The impeccable atmosphere of Arkham Asylum and the story of Arkham City are still perfect, IMO. It is so heartbreaking to see this once great studio fall so far due to greed.

I wonder if it would be worth trusting Embracer ever again. Most of their projects have been utterly terrible and then the mass layoffs because they decided to invest everything they had on a single deal. IMO, Embracer can fuck right off.

This. AIs are basically garbage in, garbage out systems. More general an AI system harder it will be tailor to a specific game. That means companies will need their own training data to supplement it. AI is not “plug anywhere, do anything” type of a solution.

My anxiety became worse after I joined PhD. I started having panic attacks. I am glad I decided to drop out. After dropping out, I found that I had BPD. So turns out I already had mental illness and PhD just made it worse.

Exactly. Anyone who has studied even one course in geology, like I have, will know that. We have seen features that have existed when humans didn’t exist, let alone a civilization. It is incredibly humbling, for instance, to see Himalayas knowing they preexisted the very minds that named them and probably will be around after the civilization that named them ceases to be.
