i just sent a request to the euronext stock exchange through their web data api contact form that basically says "hey i just want a data source for my custom investment tracking software can i have access for personal use please"
bets on what their response will be? i'm guessing something like "we'd be happy to offer you access starting at 500€/month"
@nosleep that's what i was doing before but they started encrypting their api responses so now i have to reverse engineer their frontend js to pull the key out and then write a decryption routine and this might all be pointless when they switch the scheme again
i'd like a non-treadmill solution if possible. maybe the person whose desk this lands on has some leeway and sympathy, who knows
@nosleep there's plenty, but my broker trades on that platform and the data matches what i see in my brokerage app 1:1 so it's the most accurate for valuing my holdings
@nosleep actually nevermind all this lmao i can just scrape from my brokers website instead. the extent of their anti-scraping measures is disallowing curl user agents and if im lucky they won't ever upgrade that because selling price data is not part of their business model
i'm beginning to think that the benefits of plain text accounting rarely materialize for the average user and that it's more of a gimmick than anything else
