I used to make websites. I wrote “Design for Community.” I designed the original Blogger. I created JPG Magazine, Fray, Kvetch, Cute-Fight, and more.

Now I grow flowers and turn them into CBD products for https://milkbarn.farm. I take care of 30-something chickens, 13 goats, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and my wife and myself in Boring, Oregon.

Nazis, TERFs, and Republicans can fuck off. Do not explain capitalism to me.

This is looney. Jack is proposing micropayments because crypto. He’s pitching this as if we haven’t already been down the micropayments path before with traditional currency.

One of the huge problems with micropayments is because it forces the user to make a disproportionately high cognitive effort for the value being exchanged. It’s untenable to keep expending $10 of effort in order to exchange $.10 of value.

I really did not expect that the people who spent money on Twitter Blue would start harassing high profile formerly verified Twitter folks (legacy blue checks) who opt not to pay for Twitter Blue.

So much yelling at them for being cheap, as if that is the reason they aren’t buying. (It’s not.)

(Also did not expect so many legacy blue checks to refuse to pay for Twitter Blue, but I love that most of them are standing firm, some departing entirely of course.)
