Got woken up overnight by an earthquake 🫠 3.6 Richter from Sunbury, only 25km away (that’s ~15.5mi in the old money)

No damage to anything except my slumber.

@Tijn I’m glad it wasn’t! There was a worse one in 2021, my light fixtures were rocking about a good 30 seconds after that quake, and some buildings nearer to the city got pretty badly damaged. Last night’s quake felt more like someone gently shaking my shoulders to wake me up. My eldest daughter used to do that when she has had a bad dream, so I initially thought it was her, but when I woke up no one was there.

I’m guessing not many quakes, if any, in NL?

Trying out @MonaApp on my iPhone and I may well switch to it from Ivory—it feels snappy, is full featured, and is extensively customisable.

@wezm @MonaApp I switched to Mona and it’s great, keeps its position of your timeline across multiple platforms, and my Mac at work is running Big Sur which still runs Mona! Mona on iPhone, home Mac (on Ventura) and work Mac (Big Sur) and it’s all seamless, with just one payment, what’s not to love?

    Just blocked a “prominent” bluebird account that made a transition to Mastodon here, for not using CW for graphic / crude posts, after they asked me why should they use CWs.

    Looking up "Drupal" and "Notion" and I'm finding how to integrate with the Notion API and I'm like you don't understand I didn't want to work with Notion I wanted to reimplement Notion.

    My current stash of 35mm film. I think it’ll last me a little while.

    The Fuji canister I think is Fuji Color C200? I can’t remember and it kept rolling around on the bench.

    The one solitary 120 roll here is Kodak Color 200.

    Got some more film today! Given the worldwide shortages on 35mm film, especially Kodak colour, I’m amazed I was able to even snap this up!

    Just had my network router shit the bed. The power adapter seems to be outputting 12V fine but when plugged into the router, no lights, nobody’s home.

    Bad news was that it was the gateway to my fibre connection here at home. Good news is I had an old Draytek router laying around for just this purpose, thanks Past George! Plugged her in and after a slight reconfig, am now back online (albeit no 5Ghz wifi)

    To just piggy back off this catastrophic event (well, my daughters on their iPads thought it was catastrophic), I received a new Asus wifi router yesterday and it’s been absolute bliss, Wifi 6 is so good, I almost don’t need my Wifi repeater anymore! (which has also improved on the throughput front). It’s a whole new network again, kind of because it actually is.
