@pid_eins Hi Lennart,
I saw in an article that you’re looking to replace sudo? I’m not sure how accurate that is but for brevity sake my ask is - Is it possible instead to keep sudo and just make run0 an alternative option?

Why I’m asking is because this would break so many scripts and packages. Pip and docker-compose changes have already done a lot of damage, let alone replacing this keyword which is used everywhere. Is there no way to modify sudo to achieve what you need instead?

@pid_eins thanks for clearing it up! I’m glad we’re able to approach and ask questions. It sounds like some of the negative sentiment I read about this is baseless then.

YouTube just confirmed it launched a "global effort" against users with ad blockers

Here's a tip... instead of subscribing to YouTube Premium or disabling your ad blocker, just subscribe to Nebula. It's what YouTube should have been in the first place, not the trash fire it is today

@campuscodi why not something like LBRY instead where it's solved at a protocol level?

I just don't get where the hate for a solid product comes from. It's like "hey don't bother with X product, use my same but inferior Y product instead".

It just causes meet the new boss same as the old boss syndrome.

The peertube and LBRY stuff has at least tried to solve the long haul problem of no singular gauntlet of authority.

Fascinating both for what it says about dev & what it says about statistics:

A gamedev realized Linux users were just 5.8% of their sales, but represented 38% of bug reports.

Then they looked at those numbers closer, and realized. Linux users were not experiencing more bugs. Almost none of the Linux-user bugs were Linux-related. Linux users were simply more likely to file bugs.

Their conclusion: A linux port pays for itself bc it nerdsnipes ppl into giving u free QA

@mcc it's definitely a culture aspect.
