h3rm17,

Each instance has their own rules, all governed by the law of wherever the instance is. Then instances may federate or not with other instances depending on how good of a match they think they are for each other. And then they unfederate Hexbear. That’s the life cycle of a lemmy instance xD

h3rm17,

Smarter maybe, but wiser?

h3rm17,

Well, that’s true, but the hormones of a 15 year old impair their wisdom. Unless there is significant cognitive deterioration a 70 year old would have no problem with that.

And, I’d bet on average the 70 year old has more weslth, breadth and length of experience. Pulling it 100% out of my ass though, no data to back it up.

h3rm17,

Open urls in a container, by ñrepending them with something. Like, say I have 3 gmail accounts. Work, personal, and purchases. With official multiaccount containers I can either have gmail always open on one or manually open it on one.

I have an extension where I can put something like “ext+container=Work&gmail.com” on my homepage and everything opens where it should.

h3rm17,

Thing is, statistically speaking, you, as a male, have way more chances of dying, getting assaulted, getting robbed, and in general pretty much every kind of crime that is not sexual assault. So you have way more chances of running across a traumatic psycho, yet you do not see every male holding the drink like that.

h3rm17,

Sure, if course, the goal is the make it safer for everyone. One if the ways to make it a safer and better place is to stop inducing females with the unbased fear that just by existing and being nearby a man they are going to be raped, killed or worse. Because it does not happen, and then it devolves into fucking sexism. And it’s not okay. Most men here will have never have raped, sexually assaulted nor been anything remotely violent towards women. Yet media/sociaty acts as if they all are! WTF how is that cool? Isn’t that the same as racism, ageism and other isms? Judging/presenting someone by the negative traits of few of their population?

Plus legally in most countries a woman can get you drunk and or drugged and have sex with you against your will or consent and it’s legally okay, but the opposite is not true. You can be a male musician, like say, Justin Bieber or the guy playing guitar on the metro and be CONSTANTLY interrupted and harassed by women and noone bats an eye. Hell, I said male a couple times, if I said female referring to a woman everyone would lose their shit!

First step to make thinks safer/better for everyone is stop fear mongering and demonizing one group, that’s what I’m saying.

h3rm17,

Yeah, it has to do with feeling fear of being the victim of a crime. Pull yours out your ass. It isn’t any less traumatic.

h3rm17,

I get that, and it may come across as aggressive, true. That was not the intent. I’m not saying they are lying, I’m trying to say they should stop focusing only on “this group is the victim”, “this group is the predator”, which is the vibe that most people here give. And the other examples (which are pretty common everyday, not extreme, I think, though I did point one extreme case that people know.

Also, it’s pretty tyring trying to write anything here on lemmy since every time you say something someone disagrees with you are “sea lioning”, “you are a troll” or “you are the bear”. (not you, check the other comments). Nobody goes tell them “You should remain calm and have civil conversation”, though.

h3rm17,

I’m neither feigning ignorance, asking for evidence nor anything associated with sea lioning. So maybe go read a book. I’m saying I’m absolutely tired of an entire group of people playing victims while another entire group of people gets demonized. Easier to understand? I’m saying it’s not normal for a woman to feel afraid just because a man is nearby.

But the baseless sea lioning argument you read somewhere else on lemmy and don’t understand is essier, I get it.

h3rm17,

So, the one women supposedly pick? Got it.

h3rm17,

Thing is, a lot of English expressions come from Shakespeare’s works, the memes of the time. Like, a lot. So communication back then was also references to other things. Now, I agree the scale is different, and now it’s a massime phenomenon with internet and such.

h3rm17,

They sure are extinguishing any posible fear I may have about the absolutely destroying anything beautiful.

h3rm17,

The good Estrella, Estrella Galicia, or the shit Estrella, Estrella Dam?

h3rm17,

Estrella Galicia tastes way better (subjective, lol), and has been increadingly gaining popularity all over Spain for the past 6/7 years (it was known before, but now it is more commonplace).

Also, Mahou is quite common in Madrid. A bit of a shit beer, but better than Damm and, for example, Cruzcampo.

Still, they put anlot of money into marketing, festivals and stuff like that, so that might have to do with it (most beers do, though)

h3rm17,

Yeah, in Spain not really, not sure were you get that from

h3rm17,

Not being in support of Ukraine is not the same as being in support of Vlad. Not at all. The only ones that MIGHT be pro Vlad, and I am not 100% sure of their position, are Vox.

There are a million reasons not to meddlr in these external affairs. Veing anti-war, our country not being precisely well economically, recognizing Ukraine is neither on NATO nor the EU, so interfering is riskier.

Global morals are all good and well, but the representatives should look for the well being of their voters, not everyone in the Globe.

Not saying they should say “fuck Ukraine”, we have received a lot of Ukrainian refugees in Spain. But that doesn’t mean we should get involved in their war.

h3rm17,

I’m gonna copypaste what I said in another reply to my comment (because I think it applies):

A helpful graphic about writing alt text (lemmy.ml)

image descriptionAn infographic titled “How To Write Alt Text” featuring a photo of a capybara. Parts of alt text are divided by color, including “identify who”, “expression”, “description”, “colour”, and “interesting features”. The finished description reads “A capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa....

h3rm17,

You can also become visually impaired at points other than birth in life, and know colours and stuff

h3rm17,

Yeah, for real, “Someone will 100%, do you want it to be your friends/family/people you know or some absolute random stranger?” Some lemmitors would surely answer “My people, for sure”

h3rm17,

It recommends me some of those sometimes, but most of the time my shorts feed is kinda interesting and from people I follow

h3rm17,

I just had to install with wine and add some fonts to the wine prefix

h3rm17,

I pretty much dislike that DDG is not opensource while preaching about privacy and stuff. But tbh no idea what Kagi is.

h3rm17,

A feeling of moral supperiority that lemmitors crave
