Absolut verständlicher Schritt. Aber traurig, dass es nötig ist. Mir war das Thema neu, bis sich vor ein paar Monaten dann mal die Person vom Restaurant für meine Absage bedankt hat. Es sei leider nicht selbstverständlich, dass angerufen werde.

Wow. Leuten ist alles egal, oder? Hauptsache keine Verbindlichkeiten. Bei der Restaurantreservierung nicht und in der Liebe schon gar nicht, oder? Puuh. 😩

@derthomas @bestiaexmachina @thomas @onkelmarkus hatten wir auch des öfteren früher. Werde ich nie verstehen und die Leute wurden dann auch einfach nicht mehr eingeladen.

Kann ja immer was dazwischen kommen, aber ist ja was anderes ob man krank ist und nicht kann oder kurzfristig auf ne andere Party geht.

Der Bau des neuen ist hier in den letzten Tagen/Wochen etwas eskaliert und inzwischen frage ich mich, was ich hier überhaupt warum mache und habe Angst vor einem enttäuschenden Ergebnis (in puncto Stromverbrauch). 🙄😔

@opendev sorry, kann deine Bedenken nicht hören, meine 4 1U Server sind zu laut...

Aber am Ende geht es ja auch darum zu lernen, Dinge ausprobieren, etc. Das kostet halt am Ende. Ist ja mit anderen Hobbies nicht anders.

@opendev Die "brauch ich das eigentlich" Frage ist ja immer da.
Ich mein, ich könnte hier vermutlich auch 2 der Server abschalten und alles auf einen Host umziehen und der würde sich langweilen - vom RAM mal abgesehen.
Und dann kommt die Situation wo man das "mehr" doch mal braucht und ist froh drum.
Mein Rack zieht glaube konstant um die 300-350W, inklusive Netzwerk, PoE Kameras, WiFi APs usw.
Das ist selbst mit Balkonkraftwerk viel.
Dafür hat mir der Kram den aktuellen Job gebracht.

@opendev Ich kann halt nur an der USV direkt "messen" - aka gucken wie die Last da ist und dann davon runter rechnen ^^
Und da hängt das halt alles mit dran. Und sind halt wie erwähnt allein 4 1U Server, dazu noch 2 Mini PCs...

Golem fragt nach Anregungen für ein neues Webdesign.

Ich habe angemerkt, dass ich das schlichte Design mag und die Tatsache, dass die Seite nicht mit all zu viel Javascript überladen zu sein scheint. (habe Pur - keine Ahnung ob die Werbeversion diesbezüglich schlimmer ist)

@thomas @SunDancer Das erinnert mich daran: Ich hatte ja mal nen Kollegen gefragt nen Blick auf das SEO-Ranking zu werfen.
TL;DR - die Mastodon Landingpage ist durch ihr layout das größte Problem, ordentlich gefunden zu werden. Ne dedizierte Landingpage dürfte in der Hinsicht sicher einiges bringen.
Also im Moment ist da nicht viel Potential, einfach weil diese Mastodon Landingpage eher suboptimal ist, da bringt auch der beste Content nix.

I ordered something for lunch at Subway and oh cheesus, the food is expensive... They are now asking for 8 euros for a half sub which also tastes pretty meh. Maybe next time I should bring something from home for lunch at the office.

@revengeday hate 6€ döner so you want, the value is still there.
I recently bought a sandwich at a bakery chain and it cost 5,50€ and was really just a bread roll with cheese and way too much mayo.
It was disgusting and I still regret it. Next time I'll just get Döner for breakfast instead.

Au weh. Wird wohl doch ein neues Board :(

Da ist was korrodiert oder zu heiß geworden oder beides.

Der Hersteller hat mich schon vorgewarnt, dass die Qualität der alten Modelle nicht so gut ist und sie deshalb auch den Produktionsstandort von China nach Malaysia verlegt haben.

Schade, aber das kann ich nicht reparieren. Immerhin kann man die Elektronik (aktualisiert, mit ein paar neuen Features) aber auch für den älteren Sub bekommen :) das ist top! Kostet halt.

I thought about buying the multiple times now. But the fact that they still load with Lightning is so weird. Especially as they have no type of MagSafe.

I still use the AirPods Pro 2 and they're okay, but recently I don't really like in-ear headphones and would like to have an alternative that has all features AirPods have. So there is not really the option to search outside of the Apple cosmos.

The AirPods Max are in their fourth year without an upgrade so it's probably better to still wait a few months.

Never really bothered with Apple headphones, so no idea what they can do except the usual ANC and such.

@thomas höhere Spannung ist kein Problem, bedeutet nur, dass der Kondensator mehr aushält.
Pass nur auf bei nem Netzteil, da die großen Kondensatoren auch über Tage und Wochen Spannung halten können.
