I have a terrible slug and snail problem in my garden, they destroy everything. Bought some copper bands, go out this evening and the snails are climbing the copper bands. I give up

@ben Some veg but they attack everything, broom, Mexican orange blossom, succulents, verbena, apple tree. I lost a whole large curry plant last year to them. I think if I grew sacrificial they'd finish them and back to the rest of the garden. I've collected 2 buckets worth so far it's a real infestation

Something Figma could do for is allow customisation of the UI. Custom colours, fonts, size, placement. A lot of this stuff was in Fireworks

What is this weird thing that Brits do with their modern English?

"Was sat" or "were sat" as in "was sitting" or "were sitting?"

When did the verb to sit change its participles?

@ppatel I think sat is a bit more permanent, placed - 'the airline sat the couple on the left, they were sat on the left'. 'was sitting' implies 'at that moment', or an emphasis on the action rather than the location.

Doing some work to improve error handling the GOV.UK Prototype Kit. It strikes me just how hard to read and non useful error messages can be:

parseAggregate: expected colon after dict key
Invalid or unexpected token
Unexpected identifier

99% of the time I don't even read the error, I look at the file and line number and try and figure out what's wrong
