@thorstenbutz@jon@bjchan Is it possible to buy the ticket in Berlin (or any other city) without a European bank account? Wondering if it'll be possible for me to get my hands on one for my next trip from the US.
@jon Die Tatsache, dass man die 80km von Köln nach Maastricht nicht in weniger als 2 Stunden mit der Bahn zurücklegen kann, ist auch ein Kapitel für #CrossBorderRail
@jon It has never been about the pricing to me primarily, the underlying problem I perceived of ride quality, availability, accessibility, flexibility still persist in many regions. Even when commuting from one transp. hub to another. I'll gladly fully commit to public transp. if it gets me there as planned, reasonably on time and as announced (shuffling the order of railcars mid ride is always fun).
@jon@jmovs
to be honest, I was really surprised when i read about this "Starter Ticket" with pro-rata cost. It seems unfair, as some people will travel once a week others daily for a week of the month, and the pricing of #Deutschlandticket was considered "bottommost" with no further leeway.
But since it is the entry into a subscription it doesn't mean that you can pick and select on a day-by-day basis.
Why isn't a day ticket cheaper when I buy it in the evening, with only a few hours left?
While eezy.nrw has a 49 Euro cap from tomorrow, it ONLY works in Nordrhein Westfalen. If you then cross into Niedersachsen or Rheinland-Pfalz this isn’t valid as a #DeutschlandTicket
So use this ONLY if you plan on not leaving Nordrhein Westfalen!
@jon Yes, thanks, now I know 😔 What I don't know is if DB will finally validate my order. So I am stuck for now. Luckily I don't need the ticket today.
