@Linux4Everyone Arch as my main OS and Mint (Debian Edition) for work and relatives.

Both just keep on chugging and have great communities around them. Also Arch wiki has a solution to 99.99% of my issues with it. And LMDE w/Auto Updates is a lifesaver for relatives 🥳

a person yesterday asked me, as i put my coffee on top of my (lid closed) laptop "are you not afraid that it'll break?".

sure, i do value my stuff and hope that my stuff lasts for long - but at the same time my stuff = a tool for me. if this laptop (Lenovo "ThinkPad" x240) couldn't last my use (throwing into a laptop without padding, being hurdled around, you know - setting coffees on top of it) - i don't think i'd still have it.

and the same goes for my phone, it too, has to last.

There will be major outages in the coming weeks (probably a few months actually) as I slowly migrate away from CF.
It was a temporary measure and I've weighted my options and it really isn't worth it to be MITM'd in exchange for uptime.

Also CF evangelists piss me off massively.

I will be announcing downtime's as they appear, mostly :)

do ya'll think my custom UPS's outage warning is a bit too much?

a video of me filming a chair that has a horrible mess of cables that leads to, on top of the chair: a orange pi zero and my 4g router and below the chair my ups and the "enterprise server" which is just my laptop running some services playing a very very loud warning sound effect thats kind of goofy in the way how many layers of warning sound effect there is.
