@popey yeah, that's a great point actually, Popey. I think that's why Fosstodon feels like a great space (to me) - we heavily control it, some people don't like that, but we think it works well.

So friends. Anyone got a "Rag & bone" A1000RCB-1ER or A1000RCG-8BER?

They are classic square Casios with a steel case and Sapphire Crystal. Hard not to consider them overpriced and yet… they also look great IMHO.

@ruari I thought about getting one when they were first released, but I don’t like the Rag & Bone logo one there. What can I say, I’m a purist. 😂

I do have the standard A1000 though. It’s a nice watch.

Looking for hivemind feedback/suggestions on replacing with an affordable alternative for a 'grass-roots' global student organisation.

We want to remain institutionally independent. We may have a budget of around €2000 pro year, for about 400-500 users (~140 active).

Does anyone have idea of services or hosters (preferably EU based) who meet this criteria?

@jfy133 if you're looking to replace Slack, Mattermost is a free (in both versions of the word) alternative that works in a very similar way.

Made some changes to the website over the weekend. Slightly improved header that takes up less vertical space on the page. I never really liked the centralised logo and nav menu.

@RyuKurisu that's really weird. The logo is an SVG that uses a colour variable, so it should reflect dark mode.

Weirder still, I just checked on my machine and it's the other way around. Something is clearly wonky, I'll get it fixed, thanks!

@RyuKurisu fixed! The details element I use on the mobile menu was inheriting the text colour from the details element I use everywhere else. The SVG, however, is using the correct variable, so I don't know why you're seeing it as black.

Can you test it please?
