@cycletux @andabahn @mahrko ack. Ich sehe aus dem Artikel auch nicht genau Infos um einen anderen Fehler, als dass sie nicht rechtzeitig umgekehrt sind, zu erkennen.
Weil, keine Ahnung, was deren Erfahrung war, ob sie wussten, dass der Hochstaufen einer der anspruchsvollsten Voralpenberge ist.
Der einzige Weg, auf den Hochstaufen der unproblematisch ist, ist der von Südwesten, alles andere braucht schon Erfahrung und Trittsicherheit.

@DontSwitch also, klar, ausreichend extrem, dass alles "Imperialismus" oder "Klassenkampf" ist, aber verglichen mit MLPD wirken solche Trotzkisten doch echt noch vernünftig 😉

Am Mittwoch im Zug meinte eine Frau, auf die Frage von jemand, ob sie die Zeitung lesen will:

„Nein, ich schau lieber aus dem Fenster die schöne Landschaft an. Zeitung kann ich auch zu Hause lesen.“

Eigentlich hat sie Recht.

@cycletux also, in Sachen Fenstergröße bin ich mit diesem Dosto hier nach Garmisch auch zufrieden. Wenn die Lautsprecher nur nicht so gottserbärmlich wären.

Are file descriptiors obtained with O_DIRECTORY useful for sync_fd() in your implementation?

@drewdevault @bugaevc okay, yeah, that is reasonable.
I ask, since I can't count the times I had to explain to someone, that O_RDONLY and O_DIRECTORY both are ways to create file descriptors to a directory, but both are fundamentally different in nature.
(And given that nobody checks return values of fsync() this mistake is unlikely to ever be discovered)
Also, reading from directory fds is a mess and shouldn't be supported by any posix system....

@drewdevault does your OS have a global notion of truth in terms of the Mount/Filesystem view, or is it alright connected to the individual process? (In preparation of chroot)
