Reminds me, out to a bar for business a couple weeks ago in Cincy. The guests who were buying drinks were from New Zealand and asked me what I was drinking. I wasn’t really thirsty so I noncommittally said “Not sure I might have a soda” thinking he’d let me decide. Gets up and comes back with…. soda water and lime. 🤢 Other NZer told him “Ah, you’ll need to understand what a soda is in the states- it’s like a Coke or something”. 😂 (I politely drank the nasty soda water.)

Fighting the urge to toss out a pile of keys whose provenance I am unsure of. I know that if I do I'll find they open something important within a few weeks, so packed for another move they go. Please put them in my casket when I pass, I might still need them.

@HannahHowe while I knew the original song I didn’t appreciate it as much as I do now until my fave band at the time (1982) The Jam released one of their final singles, a two song medley of the original "Pity Poor Alfie" that segues perfectly into “Fever”. After that I really took to the Peggy Lee standard, its just wonderful.

Pretty cold, wet spring so far. Projected to still be in the low 40s overnight even 10 days from now in early June. I’m looking at hundreds of hemp starts in the garage that need lows above 50 to be planted out and wondering when I’m going to be able to do that.

@fraying y'know there was a spring a few years ago where it was blustery and rainy right until the very last day of spring. Day one of summer, it was like someone flicked a switch and it was glorious that day and generally the same for the next 12 to 16 weeks. PNW knows how to milk it.

this is what drives me nuts about power sources for most electronics, they often don't put something on it that will identify it; there isn't even any technical specs on the side. I wish they would learn from Apple.

Columbia Employee Store pass for but also other locations in the US and Canada. If you haven't been, you can find some good quality stuff for cheaper than retail. I buy my shoes, boots & slippers here as well as clothing. Expires end of July 24
