I thought “Silo” on Apple TV+ was quite intriguing in the first two episodes. Third episode was an hour of people tediously repairing a “generator” that appears to run off steam but can work with its turbine blades fully exposed to the air and without steam flowing through it. Oh and they can completely straighten out a basically destroyed turbine blade in 30 minutes by hand.

I don’t mind improbable, I do mind BORING AS HELL. I’m out.

3 episodes into Silo on Apple TV+, and I must say I’m pretty intrigued.
The jury’s still out on whether it will be able to land, but I’m getting strong Horizon ZD vibes from it so I’m hopeful they have a consistent script all the way through.

There’s a company that I was really excited to join, went through the whole interview process and I thought it went amazingly well and that it was an unusually good fit. Then I got rejected. I did not see that coming. Hubris on my part perhaps.

I had a debrief with the recruiter afterwards, which was painful and extremely awkward.

I admit it, I’ve never thought of an app idea that I could develop solo that would warrant me sinking personal time into it, but I’ve just been struck by a muse an hour ago and now I can’t stop thinking about something that would scratch a giant itch of mine, and potentially makes financial sense.
Damn damn damn.

So, I signed up for the Apple+ free trial to watch Jays/Yankees and see if Apple gets better video quality. And… quality is excellent, except a bit hyper detailed like I leaned too hard on Clarity in a Lightroom edit. Hmm.

Anyhow, not gonna start paying for the sake of one ballgame a week. What else is on Apple+ that makes it worth $9/month?
