After a rather gruelling walk back from the furthest cache, all uphill and quite an effort for a pair of desk jockeys like us, some fluid intake was necessary.

Giles managed to break Black Hole on the pinball earlier, his ball went into a kicker and never came out and no amount of Call Attendant would dislodge it. He was annoyed as he ended up losing his game and he'd already beaten my high score.
BH is probably my fave of the Gottlieb tables on there. They are fine but a bit shonky compared to the Zacc tables from Magic Pixel which are a lot more polished and thus seeing more play from us despite being less modern than some of the Gottliebs.
Got to say we're very pleased with the pinball machine though, it's solid, well made, you can shake it to nudge the ball, and it's super practical having a nice library of tables to choose from (plus the bonus of it being excellent for vert scrolling arcade games too).
Perfect for the occasional break from coding to go ping a few balls around. Loving it! 🐂👍
@gilesgoat@llamasoft_ox Guys. Just hooked up a new mini PC running ChimeraOS (steam is based) to the ambilight Philips TV. So cracked out Polybius. I love it. It’s a rush but always ends badly. But then I realised, warp gates…. The pace is mine to set. Ridiculous really. What a concept huh?
so who makes a decent laptop these days? Looking for something that can run lightsynth so if I go out to do any shows with it I don't have to take my dev rig. Light and convenient would be good, and not stupid expensive (yes I know not all these things may be true all together)...

@dev_ric I just happened to notice that the Sunday lunch menu for a local pub had that as the title and figured they must have forgotten to rename a template. Wondered if others had done so too, and the answer was yes, quite a lot actually :D
last night I dreamt I was given an item called "comfort cow" which was actually a real, brown, pretty cow that loved to be cuddled and smooched. You could bring comfort cow in the house and she'd be perfectly behaved.
