The nanotexture iPad is definitely something people have diverse opinions about. Nate loved the look of it, and I know others who like it as well, but when I used it in person I instantly knew it wasn’t for me.
Back in August I started what I called "season 2" of A Better Computer. I've published 39 videos since then, and I'm planning episode 40 right now. Odds are that will be the season finale and I'm going to take another break over the summer.
Counterpoint, I just went through a bunch of posts and comments from people saying exactly this about how using the accessibility cursor on iPads “worked, but wasn’t great.”
I wish there was more imagination out there and so many people seemingly think Apple would make zero changes to macOS to make it better than VNCing into a remote Mac.

M.G. riffed on this idea that if they can do provost’s sensing like they do on iPad screens, maybe the buttons could dynamically grow a little when your finger approached them.
