Copenhagen is so nice. Feels like halfway between London and Berlin. People are chill and smile a lot. There’s good food and beer everywhere. People are stylish but not impractically so.

Now, this is super interesting. Last night, I asked how people display #Webmentions on their (#IndieWeb) sites. I already got a few really good answers, including e.g. the sites of @sia, @nhoizey, and @andy. 🙏

But now, I want more. 😁 And I’ll write a summary (with details), of course.

@bnijenhuis Like it a lot as well. Your “namepile” could be a good alternative to showing (& loading) avatars… It can get a bit long and hard to spot individual names for very popular posts, but a summary/details solution could fix that. 🤔

I was made aware of the fact that my article about personal websites which has received >1300 webmentions by now (🤯💚✊) was loading a bit slow. The reason? A gigantic amount of avatar images in the webmentions section at the bottom. Some of them were 1.8 MB large GIFs… I hot-fixed it with a loading="lazy" (thanks, @MoritzGiessmann 🤗) and by improving the compression of all images in the avatars folder.
