Even when I was little, I never felt another presence when I prayed.

I realized the god I envisioned was just an avatar I created to represent what I thought god would say based on Bible stories and the moral teachings of the adults around me. Praying was really a decision making exercise, working through the possible consequences of XYZ.

Since any conceptualization of god would still be coming from my own brain, I cut out the middleman and took charge of my own moral development. I don't pray, but I continually interrogate my thought processes and beliefs. Ultimately, we all have to live with our decisions, and i'd rather be empowered to make good ones.

By special librarian, I mean someone working in a specialized library as part of a larger organization (ex. medical/military/nonprofit/student org librarians, archivists, corporate intelligence, etc!)

Stuff K-12 schools in the U.S have said they can't do because it's too hard:

*Teach kids to read
*Grade based on performance
*Prepare kids for college level material
*Protect kids from shootings
*Protect kids from violence
*Make sick kids mask
*Enforce rules equally regardless of race
*Enforce rules equally regardless of gender

What are they even doing in there all day?

No Child Left Behind was in place all throughout my time there and it's pretty funny how they had posters up in big red font saying stuff like "FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION" when the school district was failing on every single metric.

@Crazypedia What is kills me is that multiple teachers tried to explain communism by saying "Imagine if you earned an A, but it was split with someone who earned an F, so you both get C's! How horrible!"

Then they would put me in a group with 3 low performers and make me do all their work.

Hive-minding this one. My taxes are basically the most simple they could be and little has changed since last year (similar amount, same work, same method of filing, no dependents or ANYTHING like that). I can't remember if I've gotten one of these letters before, I feel like maybe I have? Anyone else ever get one? Does it delay your refund massively?

The left has always neglected youth outreach for whatever reason. There's some support for LGBTQ+ kids, which is important work, but conservatism is the default children are raised in, and there's no alternative voice to the army recruiters and evangelicals who post up wherever kids are - especially schools.

Now, progressives are afraid to talk to kids because of the risk - nobody wants to be labeled a pedo or a groomer. Meanwhile, the kids are being brainwashed by Andrew Tate and Moms for Liberty. Where do we go from here?
