You guys are missing out. Maybe somebody is importing them? I know we have stores for imported american sweets here.

I don’t see how that could happen. You can always choose another distro, or make your own if absolutely necessary. But I understand why you’re concerned.

If they do that, support them in fixing it themselves, instead of just fixing it for them. Give a person a fish, feed them for a day or something…

Every time one of my friends has issues with windows, I tell them to install a real OS.

Hmm yeah, you do have a point there.

New Linux user, here is my use case. Distro recommendations?

Update 1: Thanks for all the responses! I’ve gotten a lot of very good comments saying I should stick with Mint, and that’s sitting comfortably in my top two picks right now. Between new distros, I’m most interested in Arch’s rolling release model, as it provides some benefits for me for reasons I didn’t really get...

Been using arch for a few weeks now, so far it hasn’t been too complicated. Also, using archinstall made the installation reasonably easy

Tips on distro for gaming Swedish

Hi! I’m getting a new laptop any day now and I plan on going back to Linux after maybe a decade on Windows. What works best for gaming nowadays? Is manjaro good for that? I prefer a distro with a nice name but of course that’s not the central thing. I’ll also do some book keeping, writing et cetera but I don’t think...

Ive used Nobara before and was pretty happy with that. Like bazzite it is made for gaming and mostly just works out of the box. I haven’t used bazzite though, so I can’t say which was better in my experience. But VR was still a hassle to set up for me

I have not been a part of the Linux community for very long but I’ve heard it a few times already, and since people usually don’t just pick random words as a post title, our brains start to look for any kind of connection a poster might have meant. Maybe an ootion for you would be to use very generic titles? Like “meme” or “image” maybe. I think this was mostly a really unfortunate coincidence, but I get that you’d rather just have a less political feed anyways.

I think this works better with golf. The point of it is to play as little golf as possible

[SOLVED] Drop ENTR media keys on linux

I recently bought a Drop ENTR, and I would like to use the media keys. On the drop.com website it says that using FN + the F-keys should work, but “Fn hotkeys may work with Windows operating system only.”. Well, for me it doesn’t work. Any ideas as to why that could be, or how I could go about creating a workaround?...
