okay, it's a slow part of my 24 h shift, so it's finally time to make a thread about the #FOSS apps that I use on my phone, most of them obtainable through @fdroidorg . I've trawled through its repositories many times over years, and managed to find a bunch of great software fitting my needs, so hopefully someone finds this useful as well.

here's a little wtf of the day.
I opened an account with Crédit Agricole (name and shame) in order to make use of their deposit offer. once I did all the paperwork, I installed their app (since the deposit can only be opened through it), and immediately got redirected to the website on the screenshot.
the app detected that I'm using an "untrusted" - i.e. non-Google, non-Microsoft keyboard - and it wouldn't let me launch it until I installed one of those.

a few days before sending my laptop off to repair I've noticed an additional, unrelated problem: it would start heating up to the point where I was unable to play a game (Apex Legends) anymore after 30 minutes or so (which I used to be able to do for [too many] hours at a time not long before), because of absolutely HORRIBLE stuttering and freezes. I’ve had a tiny bit of suspicion about what could be the cause…

taka dzisiaj przygoda.
popsuł mi się klawisz E w laptopie, trza oddać na gwarancję. sprawdzam dane kontaktowe serwisu - okazuje się że jest w moim mieście! co prawda na ostatnim wygwizdowie, ale da się nawet jakoś tam dostać komunikacją miejską.
tylko że na stronie widzę disclaimer, że ze względu na COVID-19 nie przyjmują klientów osobiście. postanowiłem strzelić im maila - może coś się u nich zmieniło, skoro już wszystkie możliwe obostrzenia zostały zniesione, i tylko info nieaktualne?

okej, pora sprawdzić jak Fedi się do takich rzeczy nadaje. podawanie dalej jak najbardziej mile widziane:

ma ktoś do polecenia polskie sklepy z lokalnie robioną odzieżą męską? mile widziane T-shirty, longsleeve'y, joggery i różne takie, ZWŁASZCZA w kolory i wzory. i skarpetki też (chciałbym ograniczyć swoją zależność od Many Mornings).
póki co znane mi są Pan Tu Nie Stał, Barhan, Mój Kraj Taki Piękny i Kabak, ale większość z nich ma taki se wybór męskich.

hej @ftdl, czy da się jakoś ustawić edycję dokumentów wrzuconych na Naszą (Waszą) Chmurę w taki sposób, żeby nie było potrzeba podawać nicku przed otwarciem?

I was making some tea during the break at work today. I looked into our tea cupboard and it turned out that someone had used up the last of the big box that I've bought for everyone and didn't bring a new one, so I grabbed another brand that I quite like, used the last bag, and threw the empty box away.

later that day a colleague/friend got semi-seriously upset about me using the last of his tea.

1. mieszkanie dla jednej osoby
2. w Piekarach Śląskich lub okolicy dojezdnej dla osoby bez auta

this time however, it's got its use. to celebrate EARTH DAY, they're making a contest with rewards for the apartment that will have used the least water in the next month.

my favourite thing about 2023 is that after three decades of being someone who's never travelled anywhere and is terrified of the very concept, I've managed to get my shit together for long enough to visit:

1. Vienna
2. Berlin
3. Berlin again
4. and Rhodes
   over the course of 12 months. each trip was anxiety-inducing and I've lost a bunch of sleep while preparing for every one of them, but they've all been definitely worth it. so that's pretty neat.
