I finally did it. I used an LLM. A couple of months ago, MS added its Copilot to Windows. I turned it off. But the latest update shoved it back in my face and tried to get me to let it use my data. So I asked it a question: How do I get rid of Copilot? It suggested I uninstall it like any other program, but MS removed that option. But Copilot went on to tell me the exact registry key to change to block it from loading, and now it's gone.

I wrote a fairly mundane post on Reddit that led to me getting an AI-prompted message with suicide prevention resources.

I was completely mystified but then I realized it was probably because I included the phrase: "I find it hard to manage" (in a context like "I find it hard to manage the crabgrass in my garden ... ").

This is the future isn't it? AI pestering us with context-free misunderstood nonsense. I guess I should just count myself lucky that the AI didn't institutionalize me.

Pisze do mnie przyjaciel, któremu wylosowała się w życiu dobra karta i w wieku 25 lat prowadzi rodzinny biznes. Nie spotka się ze mną po raz kolejny z powodu pracy. Tym razem jednak przyczyną odwołania było nagłe pogorszenie się zdrowia pracownicy, co wymusza na nim zajęcie jej miejsca za kasą.

Po tygodniu zapytałem się jak sytuacja. Na szczęście stan zdrowia kobiety, pomimo epizodu psychotycznego i potrzeby pojechania na oddział zdrowia psychicznego, poprawił się - farmakologia zadziała, wróci niebawem do pracy. Lęka się, czy przez jej stan zdrowia nie będzie musiał rozwiązać z nią umowy o pracę, ale uspokajam go, że powinno być dobrze, a w razie czego mogą zawczasu porozmawiać. On jest w porządku, daleko mu do mentalności janusza biznesu.

Pisząc ze mną podzielił się spostrzeżeniem jak wiele ludzi przestaje psychicznie wyrabiać i po prostu zaczynają chorować: Pracownica - przewlekły silny stres w domu i presja na więcej, On - pracoholizm i napady lękowe, Ja - dystymia. Wszyscy wkoło "są na tabsach żeby normalnie funkcjonować, dlaczego tak teraz jest?". Śmieje się, że to przez szczepionki i chemtrails. Mi do śmiechu nie jest, więc odpisuje mu zainspirowany jednym z czytanych ostatnio artykułów (mimo, że miałem przestać ze względu na własne zdrowie):

Żyjemy w okresie, gdzie kolektywnie przeżywamy psychiczną rozpacz. W miejsce, gdzie historycznie rodził się bunt wobec doświadczanej niesprawiedliwości wypełnia nas obezwładniające poczucie bezsilności i przeciążenia skalą zagrożeń, złożonością problemów i utratą poczucia kontroli nad własnym losem. Nasze wewnętrzne mechanizmy obronne po prostu nie dają rady, poddajemy się różnego rodzaju nerwicom, popadamy w apatię i nałogi, ranimy siebie i bliskich. Poddajemy się urojeniom w obliczu niemożności doświadczania rzeczywistości bez uczucia wystawiania się na ciągłą traumę.

Chorujemy na kolektywną aphantasię, brak wiary w możliwość zmiany.

I powoli się gotujemy.

Ah, PS, forgot to mention the

1 app was removed: not having received answers to my question from for 1 year 3 months, them having the issue tracker closed a few months ago, now the entire repo was archived. There's a new repo, but app size increased even more – and still no per-ABI builds.

Thus I had to remove ProtonMail now from , and its return is rather unlikely. Please complain to them not me should this be an issue for you – and sorry for the sad news.
