And kids don’t want to eat their vegetables or go to bed on time… Sometimes people need to be encouraged to do the thing they don’t want to do, but is only in their best interest.
I work as a public servant and I say this like once a week. The general public acts like a spoiled child who wants to eat candy for dinner. The public do not care that candy isn’t nutritious, they do not care that they will rot their teeth out if they eat out for every meal, they do not care that it will give them an upset stomach. They know what’s best for them and candy is what’s best.
The Province is introducing new housing legislation to deliver more small-scale, multi-unit housing for people, including townhomes, triplexes and laneway homes, and fix outdated zoning rules to help build more homes faster....
Depends on the bear. Black bears are cowards and you can generally just make noise or act big to scare them. Brown or grizzlies you’ll want to play dead and pray then don’t try to eat you. Polar bears, good luck, better have one of those boxes really close by.
The rule on black bears can go out the window if they are worried about their young, super hungry, or young and inexperienced with humans.
Someone with better knowledge can correct me but that’s what I was taught when I was a kid.
For highway lowering the speed may be effective but lowering the speed limit from 50 to 30 won’t stop drivers from going 50 unless the road is designed for lower speeds. So long as lanes are wide and there are little obstructions for drivers to worry about hitting, such as bumpouts, boulevards, etc., they will go as fast as they feel comfortable unless there is a cop behind them.
Edit: 50kmh to 30kmh I don’t know what that is in freedom miles
Statistics Canada confirmed last week that 351,679 babies were born in 2022 — the lowest number of live births since 345,044 births were recorded in 2005....
I would love to pump some baby batter into my gf and start having a kids, can’t do that while we’re stuck living paycheque to paycheque on a combined 130k in my parents basement.
When people trying to purchase their first home are outbid constantly by investors (corporate or not) who later try to rent out that same space at more than the first time buyer would be paying on their mortgage then no, you daft idiot, they are not providing a service.
This whole lAnDlOrDs ArE oUr FrIeNd shtick makes you look pathetic.
Every time I catch 5th Element scrolling through the channels, I put it on.
Same, when u had cable at least. I had gotten trolled by The Fifth Estate, a Canadian investigative news series, so many times while surfing thinking it was Fifth Element.
It could also lead to better productivity and less turn over with employees which would be a net positive in the end. When I did labour jobs 2 days off was not enough for me to recover, 3 days off would have been better for my body and mental health and maybe I would’ve stuck around longer.
And these were the same excuses used when we went to 40 hours a week and the world kept on turning.
