Seems kind of ironic that being on metformin to correct insulin resistance has made my life arguably /closer to/ that of a diabetic than it was before. I'm absolutely way more “in tune” with my blood sugar levels than I was before, but like, mostly not in a good way?

This thought brought to you by feeling like shit before the arrival of a very late morning brunch, and now feeling super tired/woozy afterwards (and it wasn't even a lot of food! it was just the right amount!)

@bitprophet I don't know how that medication works, but when I was able to get trulicity off label I lost about 20-25lbs over around three months then flattened out again.

@bitprophet there was sort of an interesting article by a diabetic who kept getting compliments on his weight loss even while he wasn't trying to lose weight. He was upset that nobody would ever recognize how it improved his life other than that.

I don't know. Seems difficult, I expect, for anyone to properly empathize with someone having a chronic condition and having reduced symptoms.

@mpirnat I don't think so, no. My understanding is this is meant to be "heavy peat" but I regularly get Tomatin which is a very peaty region. Tomatin never smelled like this.
