The closest I ever got to understanding the mushy peas thing was realizing how recent European access to avocados was (Neon said even today they're expensive).

As for the salmon, since refrigeration hadn't been invented yet I suppose I'd have to cook the salmon... ugh, it might as well be chicken breast then.

If you just need the guacamole to not go brown by the next day then it'll last a couple days longer if you put over it a layer of sour cream (spread so no visible gaps) & then cover it tightly.
If you need longer than that... got a vacuum sealer? There's a brand here of pre-made guacamole that is sold in vacuum pouches.

I have the opposite problem myself in that I could eat a damn ton of good guacamole and chips by my damn self 🥴

To clarify on the household stuff thing, I have someone who is supposed to come help clean up my apartment soon (since my stamina and the swelling in my legs makes what needs to be done currently more than i can do myself) but I need to cover for the cleaning supplies. That's what I need in addition to getting groceries.

Yeah I imagine brown sugar or maple sugar would work, providing sweetness without being quite as sticky as syrup.

Max at one point mentioned a version of a waffle that had cheese in it. Not sure how that specifically was pulled off, but as rich and creamy as Brie cheese is I could see whipping some with caramel and that basically turning a waffle upon spreading it into a riff on cheesecake... for BREAKFAST 🤪

Heh... take that and pair it some of that chicken andouille sausage you mentioned before split & skillet browned.

Looking at the Warriors roster if I were GM I'd favor three things for the future:

3 point shooting, cuz Curry ain't gonna be there forever.
Defense, cuz low scoring games need to be winnable.
Athletic big men, cuz that's length that fits their team character.

I got a sous vide circulator as a gift a few years ago. Ended up using it like twice. I'd rather stuff take that long that needs to take that long to be good.

As for steak sauce, to me when indoors nothing beats sauté mushrooms & onion in the pan drippings with some garlic and butter. Otherwise if I want more flavor on the steak I prefer to just add seasoning. I once shook a thing of tandoori spices on a steak for a twist, was damn good.
