Hot take: the idea of "my character is going to take a level of... " is exactly why people say d&d is a tactical game, not a narrative one.

PSSST... don't tell @darringtonpress I said this, but you don't HAVE to own their special dice to play Candela Obscura, you just need different colored d6s. But the new CO d6 are cool. @criticalrole

I know a lot of us who've gone back to OD&D, AD&D or B/X in part for sentimental reasons, But I'm also fascinated by younger people who weren't around to play these games, but are now turning to them. Hot Take: in a if your PCs have to adventure through the nine hells, make the first layer whatever you think is fun and creepy. The next 8 layers should be the exact same as the first layer, with the PCs having to do the exact same things on each layer. That'd be Hell.

    We did get Monte Cook's Path of the Planebreaker (for 5e and cypher), which is great, but not the same thing. Can we hope that WotC learned from that? Please?
