Saptarshi - The Seven Supreme Sages

I personally found two stories very timely

  • how vashista's son - Shakthi's rage killed himself and his brothers
  • how even great beings from sages to scientists like Strauss in Oppenheimer movie and me suffer from getting petty and bitter over what seems like simple things. Everyone has giant egos but we want to believe that we are this forgiving loving angel.

Until the very end I thought she was making a bad decision but wow! She believed in herself when nobody did. She believed in herself even when her own family and close circle didn't. It is great if one is lucky and blessed enough to have a little love and encouragement throughout their life. This story is an example that even if it is only a fleeting moment that you get a little love and encouragement it can give you strength for a very long time.

📖 The Fragile Threads of Power, by @veschwab. What a promising start to this new trilogy! So much of what I loved from the Shades of Magic universe is still here, but also a lot of novelty and very strong characters building. ✨ https://kevinplattret.com/reads/the-fragile-threads-of-power

Yet somehow Epictetus's father was always cheerful.
"Who had it better than us?" he liked to ask.
"Um everyone?" she would reply.
"We have our health, we have each other" he'd say with a smile.
"I love life and all it brings me. Simple as that"

The Last Moments of Krishnavatara by K.S. Narayanacharya, Manjula Tekal (Translator)

Answered questions like

  • is there a god?
  • assuming there is, why does he not stop people from doing stupid things?
  • how to live as an empath?
  • how to be involved at work, friends and family while also being detached? (so much emphasis on this one)

overall, it is a very wonderful book.

“Work, karma is workship. Even when it seems terrible sometimes, there is no sin in doing your karma. Anyone doing his work with all his being is just an instrument. Therefore, his work is an act of complete Yoga, a union with oneself and the universe.”

Radha Krishna, the epic love story

Was very moving, was all teary-eyed towards the end. For all those wondering "Why Radha and Krishna didn't end up together?", "How did they meet?" "How did they hold their love for each other and marriages to other people all those years?" this book answers all your questions.

This book is also a very short read, I must have finished this book in half an hour to an hour. Definitely a recommended read. @bookstodon

Radha-Krishna: Sacred Love Stories by P.R. Vadgama -

This is a short story collection. Some stories were very good 4 stars.
Some stories were meh 2-1 stars.

My favourite quote from the book is,
"Love is watering yourself and watching the world grow". ❤️

Everytime I read a Jane Austen, I think this is the best until I read the next one again.
Loved and sensibility.

They say Jane Austen has written books ahead of her time. But this book had some very old school plot as well. That said it was also very interesting and funny and all the other wonderful things that you would expect from an book

Watched , loved it. Binge watched the director Greta Gerwig, and she recommended Jane . Thats how it started. " Awesomely austen" series is too cute. Having loved Mansfield Park marching ahead to "Emma" recommended by my bestie.

I am not even 1/4 through and my heart is already longing for some reason to read of Radhe and Krishna.

Reading "Aristotle and Dante dive into the waters of the world" by Benjamin A Saenz

Are teenagers are articulate and sweet like this these days?
When I was a teenager I certainly was not like this. Maybe now I am.

When I read Aristotle and Dante the first part, it was captivating and very moving. Wonder how part two is gonna take.
