Has anyone tried the Android tracker detection? Can't find the airtag that is 20 cm from the phone.

Two weeks after the Hamas attacks, we should not get used to the horrors happening in Israel and Palestine. Here is what made me cry today:
I left Gaza for work and now can't return. Watching it bleed from afar is a nightmare.

Any feedback on the TunSafe wireguard client? It looks like these people developed a wireguard client are providing a wireguard server for free, but no info on intention or funding https://tunsafe.com/

Pretty specific question, but for forensics nerds: do you know if there is a reliable python NSKeyedArchiver parser available?

@realn2s I missed this one, it looks maintained and quite simple, I'll check it out, thanks!

Although I like how easy it is, it sounds like a terrible idea to rely on a website to generate a QR code for your wireguard client https://www.wireguardconfig.com/qrcode

@nf3xn indeed but would you trust a service doing that without reviewing the source and making sure there is no intentional or non intentional security issue?

I am going to train some journalists on how to investigate digital infrastructures later this year. One frustrating aspect is that it is hard for them to get access to good passive DNS databases. Do you know any passive DNS platform that would be willing to give free access to some journalists to help them with investigations?

tek,
@tek@todon.eu avatar

@nf3xn you mean rapid7?

tek,
@tek@todon.eu avatar

@nf3xn yeah but not usable easily for journalists

tek,
@tek@todon.eu avatar

@nf3xn Yes it is specifically for passive DNS. I am gonna look at platforms providing access pro bobo to journalists

So it seems that ProtonVPN default wireguard configuration doesn't route IPv6 -_-. You have to disable IPv6 yourself to avoid ipv6 leaks

tek,
@tek@todon.eu avatar

@falcon It doesn't. I assume the proton apps are blocking ipv6 automatically, but if you use their wireguard configuration, you'll have ipv6 leak

This is big : a state agency very likely forced Linode and Hetzner to setup a MITM to jabber.ru servers and they requested a new TLS certificate to decrypt the traffic
