One spool of filament down and we're up to the knees on the Warmaster Iconoclast. From the base of the foot to the top of the knee joint is 8.5 inches, so this is going to be a big one when it's done. Currently printing the thighs, which are a 25 hour print-job. Next update in a few days!
At the last minute I decided to go to my 10 year high school reunion with a couple buddies I had stayed in touch with. Ended up running into a lady I’d obviously gone to high school with but never knew super well, some shared classes and band and stuff. Hit it off and here we are now, married for five years.
Got it set up and printed a little trinket I’d made for my wife earlier, that on the CR-10 printed in about 27 minutes; took a flat 13 on the K1 and that was with a very conservative 7500 mm/min. I’m excited to see what this can push up to!
It was $700 + tax, but in store only, which was an issue since California has one Micro Center and it’s down in the LA area. Luckily my wife was going to Disneyland with some family and ended up being 10 min from the store and was nice enough to snag it for me.
Speed was the biggest feature I was interested in and man this thing hauls, but having a full enclosure to mess with temp sensitive prints is something I’ve been wanting, and the Lidar + print issue detection seems like it’ll be great. And man the bed just leveling itself feels like some wizardry after manually leveling my print bed for so many years.
I have an OctoPi hooked up to my CR-10 but I’ve been fiddling around with the Creality Cloud setup and it looks like I can get the same functionality with one less device, and having the camera built in and web accessible is really cool.

All the breakdowns of the Tau army ive seen say that the faction ability “For the Greater Good” doesnt work with its xenos auxiliaries (kroot and vespid). Ive looked at the data card, index and core, but i just cant find where it states that. I do see the inability for them to utilize the current strategems, but i must be...
That’s standard wording on faction abilities to stop cross faction shenanigans. If you look at, say, LoV’s Eye of the Ancestor ability it starts out “if your army faction is League of Votann then do blah blah.” AdMech runs into some of the same thing where not everything applies to everyone and hopefully full codexes clean it up for T’au, or at least add a detachment that is the super best friends one and xenos aux folks can Greater Good.

So in a weird twist I was out of town visiting a buddy over the weekend and he brought up how he’d snagged this, and it was a bit too much for a couple friends in his main group, and asked if I wanted to borrow it. Reading through the rules tonight!
