There is also no news of the extreme statements col E Nell has made at the end of SALT 2024.

I was partly assuming that to be a psiop to distract from the war. Now i dont know what to think but absolutely radio silence is so strange. What happening at our Media?

webghost0101,

How any reasonable person can look at this unsustainable trajectory and not desire to change it is beyond me.

Sure not everyone can be reasonable but if the majority of your civilized evolved species cant perform first principle reason than it indicates systematic problems in education.

Colonel Karl Nell - The Real Black Swan Event: The Controlled Disclosure of UAP & Non-Human Intelligence (www.youtube.com)

I updated the video’s link to SALT’s official video. I wasn’t expecting them to get the video up so fast, since their other videos seemed to take a while to be uploaded after events. Out of all of the NYC event’s discussions, this has been the first and only interview to get uploaded.

webghost0101,

Its been more then a day and i have yet to find a single big news network that covers this.

Even the debrief which posts like 99% uap stuff, not a single word. This isn’t normal.

webghost0101,

Super straightforward and basic idea goes BRRR

webghost0101,

How long would a pickled body stay identifiable?

webghost0101,

Wow, what the heck this looks better preserved than most mummies i ever saw.

Was this a natural accidental pickle process or an intentional practice?

I want to be pickled after death now.

Dystopian depression?

Before long every cashier is going to request a smile from you, scripted as the most friendly way to say “please let me shov this scanner on your face”

The psychological effect of being requested to smile every time you make a purchase will reinforce your behavior to purchase more and appear less miserable keeping up the illusion that everything is cool and normal.

I am just talking from my ass but gotta remember that the ceos species have their asshole below their nose.

Guy you replied to did miss that part but consider the (still to be verified) facts.

  • they ask to use her voice, she declined.
  • they proceed by not using her voice. Someone else’s voice instead.

oPeNaI “believe that AI voices should not deliberately mimic a celebrity’s distinctive voice—Sky’s voice is not an imitation of Scarlett Johansson but belongs to a different professional actress using her own natural speaking voice. To protect their privacy, we cannot share the names of our voice talents.”

The end result is pretty clear here. Either this other person exist and could testify privately in court with her natural voice which she has the rights to work with OpenAi. There is a closure in law where not being able to provide evidence that the court knows must exist can make you guilty. Openai could have tried to pull a “this is a fully unique synthetic voice” but crucially they did not.

webghost0101,

Tweeting “her” was stupid but he has stated for years its his favorite movie and honestly even with a wildly different man voice it is still a very similar appearing product as the movie.

webghost0101,

They are copying the fictional movie character… the voice is a real person and their is precedent that explicitly impersonating a voice is ip theft.

But a fictional personality and a voice that has similar features? I really hope this does settle in court.

webghost0101,

Start getting into self hosting, you dont need all that expensive hardware. An old laptop can get you started.

Heres some stuff you can do.

Fix youtube:

A script (with yt-dl) on a schedule checks a list of channels to download x amount latests videos from their channel.

Fix Television Streaming:

Jellyfin allows you to stream your own content regardless where you sourced it. I output the youtube videos from above in it

Fix Music Stream

Ive setup Navidrone to stream my music library. Previously i only ever played locally stored music but storage space limits forced me to look beyond and its been working well

Fix Cloud computing

Get full control and ownership of your data so it cant be exploited behind your back. Nextcloud is well documented on how to setup your own cloud system including office apps, calendars.

Fix personal online communication.

Signal appears to be one of the only ones competent to so it right.

In general on the web:

  • Always ublock origin, I’ve yet to see a better one and i flat-out wont use the desktop web without.
  • Use bookmarks for sites you visit regularly rather then giving search engine the extra traffic every time. This sounds super mild but its actually a focus lifehack. You dont need 90% of the shit your being distracted with.

Most people only need a handful of urls for a few functions. For me half of those are selfhosted and those that arent are in someway selected and configured for personal least hassle least shit experience. Ever since I bookmarked Wikipedia and wolfram i’ve used them more to get answers than conventional search engines.

webghost0101,

webghost0101,

Its only partly local and i bet only because the alternative is to expensive.

Just look at the kinda crap windows pulls today.

I thought i had disabled pretty much all the spyware, them on the microsoft online dashboard i found

  • full machine specs
  • A list off all applications installed
  • edge search history

Btw, did you know that anything typed in start/search now counts as a search in edge? I wander whats behind that move.

In other words i understand much of the ai may function on a local level but it be fully integrated with cloud systems and you can safely assume a full record of your prompts and uses is stored on microsoft servers and delivered to bill gates for reading before bed.

webghost0101,

Depends on your browser extensions, you can even pretend to be a phone if you want. ;)

And also not the same level of detail as microsoft is just lifting from your hardware like motherboard model and manufacturer, how many drives, how they are formatted and how much space is used on each of em.

webghost0101, (edited )

What i meant is, what good reason is there for local search to always count as a Bing internet search.

If i wanted to look up something online id open up an internet browser with the search engine of my preference.

Spamming my local search results with online rubbish is the opposite of value, even micrsoft devs acnowledge this which is why microsoft powertoys has macbook style local searchbar thats way faster and better at finding your files and offline.

Makes sense but imagine 10, 20 years in the future from now? I doubt there be enough difference to ofset the risks by then.

Should we really rush out an invasive implant that barely works rather then perfect what we will naturally want to use in the future anyway?

webghost0101,

Some people aren’t gonna like me saying this. But when used responsibly chatgpt is the absolute linux mvp.

I stopped being a windows user a month after getting access to gpt4, its been amazing. I learned so much in general and it would not have been feasible for me without there-are-no-dumb-questions-ai

webghost0101, (edited )

“don’t enter any commands you see online without looking at it first. You can’t trust everyone”

This has somewhat become a staple idea of mine. People trust others online way too easily. Ai isn’t all that different in this but its more obvious to us that there is something to be scared about the uncanny valley.

What it tends to come down to is capacity for personal critical thinking which we should aim to foster more in future generations.

Maybe i assume too much that programmer-minded people naturally come with such skills for troubleshooting and will be capable of responsible ai interactions?

webghost0101, (edited )

I am gonna be real with you guys

  • get 10% more sleep per sleep

And

  • both nostrils always work

Is this what getting older does to me?

webghost0101,

I would do this if not for the irresistible urge to make full use of this treasure of an opportunity to look and act like a pirate in a socially acceptable context.

webghost0101, (edited )

I’ve heard stories of people 50-60 years ago drinking water from the river.

Mostly in documentaries about how these rivers got so polluted they are now chemical infested ecological hazards with little capacity to sustain life.

The pond in the back appears fine, but pollution is all around us. How can they truly be sure this water is safe? Not everyone can boil or filter on the spot wherever whenever.

webghost0101,

I have done a lil research but what i needed was this site. Great resource, maybe even coolguides material.

webghost0101, (edited )

There is no hard proof available about any crash, there is even less evidence that a supposed crash would an accident.

Its very reasonable that a advanced society would test humanity by throwing some old rubbish at our planet to see if we are smart enough to understand or copy it after x-time.

webghost0101, (edited )

This is a global phenomenon, not an US one, the US simply has been the most vocal. West-European politicians are mostly Atheist. No clue about the believes of Asian politicians.

Its entirely possible that this is all a big misinformation campaign, Colonel Karl Nell who stated yesterday “non-human intelligence exists, non-human intelligence has been interacting with humanity. This interaction is not new, and it’s been ongoing, and unelected people in the government are aware of that. There’s zero doubt.” At the SALT conference the other day did mention someone else who turns out is from the Isreal space agency… considering the climate… There may be some additional motives at play.

Still even if it 100% fake it deserves to be talked about. For as much as i hate industry leaders they were just told by a highly credible official that non human intelligence is a fact. This will make waves in society for better or worse. How can we hold the oil giants accountable if THEY believe that an extraterrestrial hero will come in to save us from global warming anyway so they can exploit as they please?

There is also the fact that even when its about fairy tales, it has not stopped government from spending large amounts of funds into all kinds of bizarre secret studies (MK Ultra and the monroe tapes anyone). Some of those could still exist. Doesnt a public have a right to know where all the unaccounted spending in the military actually went towards?

So no matter if your standpoint is “i believe” or “this nonsense is distracting us from real problems” Its in the interest of both parties that any previous secret studies are publicly released as quicky as possible so any (lack of/potential) proof is empirically known and we can either move on from this topic or get real answers.

[Opinion Piece] Expert Warns of AI's Unintended Psychological Consequences (www.abc.net.au)

As artificial intelligence (AI) improves, it’s not only changing our daily lives but also affecting our minds, relationships, and concept of reality. Cognitive neuroscientist Joel Pearson warns that AI’s psychological effects, such as the ability to create deep fakes and romantic chatbots, can have devastating consequences...

webghost0101,
