One of the best investments I made this year was paying $250 to a local coffee shop to be a member of their coffee club. They gave me a cup, and they give me free cold brews. It’s worth it.

As chains go, Panera does something similar, but it’s a monthly fee, and they have increased the price significantly since they started it.

My local museum offers cafe discounts and freebies, for annual supporters, and they get a lot of my patronage for it! And me as their ambassador for recommendations :-)

Still in the hospital under observation. Nothing broken. Just bruising and a small subdermal hemotoma. Could have been a lot worse. Waiting for a follow up ct scan and based on that maybe going home. So much for vacation.

Dreams were intense and weird.

Forecast says it'll rain today and cloudy with showers tomorrow. Maybe sunshine returns on Thursday. I could use good days of sunshine. Yesterday there was some semi-sunshine getting through thin clouds but not the sunshine I need.

Ginza is such a good sleeping buddy. I love hearing her sometimes making sighing noises in the night because of how comfy she feels.

I had to use mine for cycling today and I can recommend breathable gear. Once you are clad in that extra layer warm can happen very quickly!

What I am most proud of today though is this kick ass blanket fort on the fire escape. Those childhood skills are transferable yo! Covered myself in wet scarves/towels and sat out in the Valerie-made shade, and breeze.

Long way to topple this post, which has an eight-year head start and 580,000 pageviews, most of which are from the site that is trying to destroy it
