zwekihoyy,

aosp and android aren’t necessarily one in the same.

zwekihoyy,

it’s worth noting that this is the intended behaviour for privacy.resistFingerprinting. this is not exclusive to Mull.

zwekihoyy,

I wholly agree with you there, I’m just saying it’s the same behavior on all browsers built on Firefox. true for desktop as well

zwekihoyy,

yes, if you enable resist fingerprinting on any Firefox build it will cap refresh rate to 60hz. Mull is not doing anything special, it’s just changing about:config options by default.

you can disable resist fingerprinting in mull and regain standard refresh rate (although you lose fingerprinting protection) just as you can enable resistFingerprinting in Firefox beta or nightly and see refresh rate cap at 60.

zwekihoyy,

you need to use Firefox beta, nightly, mull, or Fennec F-Droid to access about:config and from there you can search for and enable resistFingerprinting. it’s not an option in the settings.

Secure Operating Systems (Microkernels seems to be the future)

I am not satisfied with Linux’s security and have been researching alternative open source OS for privacy and security So far only thing that’s ready to use is GrapheneOS (Based on Android) but that’s not available on desktop (Though when Android release Desktop mode it may become viable)...

zwekihoyy,

you’ve posted this same comment at least 5 times and you’ve been wrong every time.

zwekihoyy,

I’m not trolling you’re just demonstrably incorrect.

zwekihoyy,

okay buddy

Why do fdroid main repo keep apps that has not been updated in 12 years ? Isn't it more logical to move apps that has not been updated in more than three years to the archive ?

Like i use an older version of android and every new app on fdroid works for me and keeping the main repo full of abandonware isn’t a good idea and will hold fdroid back on being a good app store . And its not like the apps are deleted or anything if someone needs them for whatever reason they can find it on archive and not...

zwekihoyy,

everything always has a security flaw. this is horrible logic

Android phone saving metadata for screenshots (i.ibb.co)

I always remove this data from my screenshots before sharing, but is there any way to prevent this from happening in the first place? I’ve searched and searched, but all I can find is information about how to remove the data after the fact, which I already know how to do, but it would sure be nice if it never got added in the...

zwekihoyy, (edited )

I love when people post well known and obvious information. if you hadn’t realized metadata is present then idk what to tell you.

zwekihoyy,

I would extend this Nobara recommendation from “for gaming” to “for anyone with Nvidia graphics”

zwekihoyy,

you’re explanation makes sense and yet, gaming still works better on kde. it’s a known reality.

zwekihoyy,

less crashes, higher average fps, behaves with alt+tab better, etc. everything works ✨better✨

zwekihoyy,

homophobic

zwekihoyy,

never in my years of using Linux have I ever thought that it was rendered clearer. let’s be honest with ourselves, no need to lie.

zwekihoyy,

to be fair you always could remove edge, it just legitimately broke a lot of windows apps

zwekihoyy,

what do you think updates are for?? please stop spreading such terrible practices

zwekihoyy,

you could have used winget or chocolatey as well.

zwekihoyy,

ironically that’s literally what x11 is made for.
