In one video, an Israeli soldier dressed in a dinosaur costume loads artillery shells into a tank and dances as the shells are fired in the direction of Gaza. In another video, a soldier is filmed dedicating an explosion to his two-year-old daughter for her birthday. Seconds later, a Palestinian residential building behind him is blown up.
Vile. Even if we were to assume that the Israeli war effort was totally on the level (very unlikely), these soldiers are shelling an urban area where likelihood of civilian casualties is high. Celebrating that is low.
Of course, the more likely explanation, that this is part of the continuing Israeli genocide of Palestinians, goes to show just how much Palestinian civilians have been successfully dehumanized.

I don't think he understands what kind of position we're in. Democrats already tried compromising with Republicans on this issue. We offered pretty comprehensive concessions that addressed their claimed concerns. As soon as they got it, they walked back their claims and demanded more.

In the current Gaza campaign, we're coming up on 20,000 out of a population of 2 million, so something to the tune of 1% over the course of three months. Extended to the six years of WW2, that would be 41% of the population.
