If you have someone making life choices for you does it not make sense that you shouldn’t be allowed to vote? Someone has successfully made an argument you aren’t fit to run your own life. Not sure why they should be allowed to affect the lives of others. I’m not sure what the difference is, at least in some cases, between people with a guardian and children <18 y/o. And IDK of many clamoring to lower the voting age.

Is it just me or does the report state that Israel is blocking aid? The legalese might make a distinction between ‘technically blocking aid’ and ‘doing everything in your power to slow, delay, and otherwise mitigate aid’… but that’s exactly what a layperson would call blocking aid.
They have to choose words carefully lest they accidentally trigger some process. But they did just describe what a smarmy country does to block aid while maintaining plausible (big stretch of the word) deniability.
Terrorism is an appropriate word here. Threats of violence to achieve political goals. They threatened employees with violence because the store chose to offer those items. I’m not really sure how much more clear cut it can get. Terrorism isn’t just killing people.

Lastly, It’s always good to see this stuff called out for what it is. I have hope that maybe lemmy won’t turn into a right-wing or far-left propaganda platform after all.
