What's ironic is that nearly half the US has lead pipes serving their water, and every single source is contaminated with multiple "forever chemicals".
I know of someone who literally thought toothpaste was meant to be swallowed, and was doing it until told otherwise in their teenage years. They "hated brushing their teeth" as a result, and a dentist told them after finding out what they had been doing.
Not only are they stupidly repetitive, they are loud. They do make me look for other stations. I've found I can mess with them sometimes using the home button, it can pause the marketing BS for a good minute.
There's an old book called "the secret life of plants"... An interesting part explains how after a human, who had never entered a particular greenhouse before, smashed a plant to bits, and an electric response in the survivors spiked only when that particular human returned to the greenhouse.
It's because out of the box there's often issues. For example, my setup with a 3080 booted to a black screen at login. Only futzing in the command prompt via grub let me install the correct driver, and it's been fine ever since then.
I installed mint on my second PC, and it's great. I feel like migrating my main, but I'm not sure it would go smoothly. I've had a lot of issues with my four months old Ubuntu install, lately the keyboard is nonfunctional at the login screen about half the time. Snaps are another reason making me want to leave it behind.
For me it was Wolfmother at a major German festival. I didn’t really know them before and did not expect too much, but was totally blown away by their performance.
Queen, news of the world tour, opening with "we will rock you". Second is ELO and Kansas with a deadly laser light show. Nothing else has come close. I am old.
During the last ‘election summer’ things went haywire but ultimately nothing meaningful really happened, and not a whole lot really changed as a result of that unrest. Consider that what we read online as news is becoming close to 50% generated or created by bots. Dipping in now and then, but mostly avoiding doesn't seem an unreasonable approach, and breaks the dopamine machine.
Copilot sounds amazing on paper. The free (to 365 subs) version on the web is just Chat GPT4, so that’s familiar enough. The integration with 365 applications is really what grabs me. You haven't noted how you are accessing JF, so if using a browser a quick test might be to try playing the file locally not using JF web. The web player dosent support all formats, so it could point to a media conversion problem. I use JF media player on PC for this reason as it supports more formats like DSD.
While electric vehicles have garnered significant attention in recent years, hydrogen fuel cells offer a compelling alternative, particularly for heavy-duty and long-range applications where battery-electric solutions face limitations. If it's commercial, they can have a hydrogen fuel station at their warehouse or office,"...
A hydrogen station is far more expensive to build than people realize. There's also significant explosive risk, as one station discovered. I have feeling a few bad accidents or even purposeful crashes as attacks are going to change minds quickly about using it extensively outside of industry.
